Covid Passports

In the last year and a bit, the government and it's totally trustworthy advisors have...

Lied to us about the effectiveness or otherwise of facemarks.
Lied to us about the importance of Vitamin D levels.
Lied to us about the testing of patients before release to care homes.
Lied to us about the effectiveness of HCQ+ therapy as both prophylaxis and early treatment.
Lied to us about the effectiveness of Ivermectin as an all round treatment.
Lied to us about the 'vaccine' not altering our immune system.
Lied to us about the number of adverse reactions to the vaccine.
Lied to us about the effect on women who are pregnant.
Lied to us about accuracy of the PCR test.

And probably half a dozen more lies by means of misrepresentation and deliberate obfuscation.

And still people believe the authorities.
Nonsense .
Scientific advice has shifted on a few peripheral issues as the knowledge of this virus developed. Hence occasional inconsistency in advice on things like face covering. The evidence on that now seems much firmer as data has become more secure.

That the lying scumbags currently destroying our country have sometimes ignored or distorted that scientific advice to remain “ popular “ I would concur . Hence we remain in a precarious position unnecessarily.

Nope, never said that.

What I did say is that I came very close to spoiling the ballot at the last GE. If there had been a UKIP (or similar) candidate I would have voted for them. I did decide to vote though, and having decided that, I further decided that since voting for a socialist was out of the question, so, by default, it had to be the Tories.

It wasn't delivered as you well know, mainly because of anti democrats like you.

Yes, this is the outcome, but it is not what was voted for.
The most undemocratic about Brexit were the lies and nonsense spread by the right wing press and the likes of treacherous grifting weasels like Farage about The EU.

I had no idea I had such an influence on the govt.

And I’ll add ‘anti-democrat’ to the list of desperate, pathetic, useless & meaningless terms you & your ilk use when you have nothing else.
Me neither, but according to some on here you might think that I was singlehandedly responsible for the Johnson government.

We had a referendum that was on terms set by an overwhelmingly 'remain' government.

Leave won the vote and had the not unreasonable expectation that the government would do as it promised and 'take us out of the EU, the Single Market, the Customs Union and all it's institutions'.

Still waiting for that to happen.

Just 'balance' to all the pro-EU drivel from the BBC and all the rest of the broadcast media.

Despite having the weight of those organisations on your side, you still couldn't win the vote, how hopeless is that?

If you were aware of that pre-Referendum, then you only have yourself to blame.
Just 'balance' to all the pro-EU drivel from the BBC and all the rest of the broadcast media.
As opposed to the BS propagated by the non-MSM that allows people like yourself to stamp your feet about a Brexit that no-one had any idea about delivering, without it causing serious harm to this country.
Me neither, but according to some on here you might think that I was singlehandedly responsible for the Johnson government.
But vote them you did, as it seems so many others did too, crazily on a single issue.

Pro EU -The BBC ? Good grief

Here’s the BBC Brexit coverage in a nutshell

“So having heard from the head of a road haulage business which carries loads across the Irish border every day and says Brexit will be shit , let’s hear now from Jacob Rees Mogg to put a “ project fear” counter argument “

“ So having heard from the former Head of The WTO who says Brexit will be shit for Britain , let us hear now from Andrea Ledsom who of course knows fuck all about world trade to say what is most likely to get Boris Johnson elected”

“So having heard from the Leader of the Fishing Industry who says Brexit will be shit, let’s hear now from Nigel Fucking Farage, who didn’t bother to attend 46/47 meetings on the fisheries committee despite getting paid by you to do so, who will pretend he knows the slightest thing about Brexit’s impact on Britain’s Fishing Industry ”

This false equivalence was a total dereliction of journalistic standards

Afternoon Mistryman, trust that you are well, but...

No idea what your first comment is getting at.

Secondly, I have told you many times what was expected of the government if leave won, they made absolutely no attempt to deliver it. Perhaps like Foxgolfer you memory is defective.

Thirdly, are you seriously suggesting that I should have voted for the £3 tramp who steadfastly refused to tell the electorate what his party's policy on Brexit actually was! I mean, seriously, you are really not that daft

Meanwhile. We have left. Whatever AFC says.
We are still paying huge sums to the EU, allowing their fishing boats into British waters and allowing the EU to decide how we trade with a constituent part of the UK. I think we have a very different view of what the word 'leave' means. It is 'Brino'.

Your memory that I mocked 'in jest' a few posts earlier really isn't very good is it.

We do.

And a lot more people agree with me than you on this matter.

They are clearly wrong.

What is more important SF, being in the majority or being right? I will let you ponder that.

Argumentum ad populum. (From the English. What most people think is bollocks.)

You can argue all you like....

Even Farage, your hero, says we have left.

You said that the terms were set by a remain govt, & yet you believed the bullshitter that is Johnson. Yes, I’m well aware that you thought that he’d simply be the mouthpiece while the underlings tried to sort it out, but the mouthpiece is also someone that’s flip-flopped on the issue as the wind direction changes.
Secondly, I have told you many times what was expected of the government if leave won, they made absolutely no attempt to deliver it. Perhaps like Foxgolfer you memory is defective.

Because even they know it’s the equivalent of chopping off both legs beneath the knee. And please, spare us any comments regarding “suffering the consequences”.

As opposed to the bloke that would snap your hand off for £3 if it meant you were funding his holidays & his divorces?

Because Johnson’s never looked like a tramp! You’d have been better off voting for neither - at least your conscience would be clear.

Why do you keep insisting something that is clearly false is true?

Natch.
I said that I would happily buy Farage a drink for being the person primarily responsible for getting the people a referendum.

That is it, I consider him a 'one trick pony', a great 'trick' but otherwise just a politician who has been irrelevant since referendum night.

The Cameron government set the terms for the referendum vote and for the campaign, Johnson was a peripheral figure at this time.

I expected Cameron to honour his oft stated promise and get us out. He did no such thing, everything that has happened since is a direct result of him selling the country down the river.

You have no idea what a hard Brexit would or would not have achieved, a meaningless statement.

The term 'a £3 tramp' comes from those opposing Corbyn's rigged election, Blairites in the main, where any lefty could scrape together £3 and vote in the leadership election.

As I have said in another thread, I came close to spoiling my ballot, but in the end decided not to abdicate responsibility to others. Conscience is clear in that respect.

You mentioned earlier that you only voted Tory because UKIP weren’t standing.
Make your mind up.

I prefer to call it 'Brino' but I totally concur.

By the 2019 election Farage was not the leader of UKIP. He was leader of the quite useless Brexit Party.
I have to be honest AFC , I find it hard to compute that an intelligent man, as you clearly are, couldn’t see through a charlatan grifter like Farage .

Do you actually ever try and work things out for yourself, or do you simply follow?

Sometimes you come across as quite sensible, then stuff like that.

Farage, whatever you think about him is the most influential non LibLabCon politician in living memory. Almost singlehandedly he made the referendum possible, despite being hounded by the press and in his personal life. A great man for that alone.

Once again you show your socialist tendencies, attack the man, not the ball and call anyone you disagree with names.

Seriously, if you want anyone to believes you are not a socialist, best to not behave like one.

Are you a fan of Farage or not? You seem to want it both ways.

What a tedious question.

I have made it quite clear that being instrumental in getting a referendum for the British people was a great achievement,

For that reason I said that, in the event of meeting him, I would 'buy him a drink' as a thank you.

I have never met the man, know next to nothing about him outside his Brexit campaigning, and I am not his 'fan'.

Clear?

Some of us are capable of taking a position based on nuance, logic and consideration of a mans achievement. A bit beyond name calling or simple identitarian labelling. More schoolboy socialism, disappointing.

Ever thought of a career in politics?

You would do well. All mouth. No trousers.

Yet more vacuous clever words...

Once again no rational argument or discussion. A bit of (fairly polite) name calling.

Come on Sf, you a decent enough bloke, put forward a position, an opinion even, defend your views. Come on, this is schoolboy stuff.

Actually politics is out of the question, I really do not like to take orders and I don't like to lie.

And again. Pretty words. No substance. You have an indefensible position but you won't admit it.
