No comments on the new interim men?

there's plenty on the threads with their name in them.

It cant be any worse than it is now, Smith has plenty of experience nearly 600 games but not won owt, but then again we aint looking to win owt at the moment just staying up!
I think by bringing him in with Shakey as his assistant its seen as a sweetner to appease the fans with an old favourite coming back
If he is the only one to want to take it on short term we have to take him !
As for John Terry not liked by many but I aint got a problem with him coming as well, hopefully he will get the defence tightened up!

I think we could have done worse. I really do.

I’m not particularly enamoured by Terry more because of how Wise turned out than by Terry himself.

I’m looking forward to what the three of them can do for us.

I suspect we’re not totally finished yet.

stowell and sadler remain. so hopefully the new boys will minimize their 'advice'.

I shouldn’t judge one man by the actions of another man. I know that but I can’t help myself.

I saw Dean Smith on the telly Good Friday covering Championship football and thought to myself, ‘I’d totally forgotten about you’.

Here he is on the ultimate free-hit, keep us up and he’s back in the window, takes us down in a heroic effort, the same, nothing changes he’s got the EFL studio gigs for next season or possibly the LCFC job.

His starting XI versus Wolves will tell us what’s what.

John Terry is apparently a vary decent defensive coach. That’s all I care about with regards to him. We know that Craig Shakespeare is a good coach and will be well liked by the players. I don’t have a strong view about Dean Smith but by all accounts he’s a good man manager who will lift our players’ confidence.

I think these appointments have given us a chance of staying up. Not a great chance, perhaps, but a better one that we had under either Rodgers or Stowell/Sadler.

I look forward to us at least putting up a fight to stay in this division rather than slipping out of it without a whimper.

The more I read about him, the more I am inclined to think so, too. Many people seem to think he did a decent job at Villa and he's a no-nonsense team builder. He's also putting his reputation on the line, and that's commendable, too.

The problem is: they have left it far too late to replace Rodgers, and there is now literally no margin left for error. One stupid goal conceded could now mean one or two crucial points dropped, and this could make all the difference.

Anyway, there is now not much we can do anyway but back them, look forward to hopefully an improvement in attitude and hope for the best in terms of results.

Was decent at Brentford as well. Norwich is the blot.

The unknown is whether the players have it in them to respond to the challenge - to date they have not. I hope Smith can change that - if he can, we have a chance of surviving.

My mate knows the BBC golf correspondent who’s a big Leicester fan. Apparently Smith was due to go and watch the Masters in Augusta but cancelled it to go for the Leicester interview. Shows he was committed even though he wasn’t nailed on to get it.

It's a big chance for him.

Stay up, and he's back in the PL limelight, either with us or somebody else. Go down with improved performances, he's still in with a chance of landing the LCFC gig and start the rebuild. With Shaky's history, knowledge and relations at LCFC and Terry's reputation, he has put a team together that at least on paper looks good and capable of the job. He knows the lower leagues and has lead at least one team to promotion also, so all in all he's much better equipped than Jesse Marsch, for example.

To quote PC Gerry Cliff from BBC's excellent Blue Lights "nobody likes a notebook wanker".
Immediately thought of old Gucci belt.

I console myself with thinking that the teams above us aren't thinking we can't overtake them. Be honest. That's how we'd all see it, in their shoes.

Probably the best we could do, with 8 games to go.

Top acted about a season too late.

Everyone could see that Rogers had to go, and then Adam Sadler proved to be the worst caretaker since Ian Huntley, which left us scratching around looking for anyone out of a job willing to take on the risk of a relegation on their CV for 8 games.

More positive after seeing the video of their first day on to OS today.

A stupid late goal at Palace and again v Bournemouth have really cost us. Even 2 more points and it’ll look a damn sight rosier.
