They converted debt into equity in the form of shares. The underlying value of each share will depend on the value of the company but that is only materially important really if they come to sell or if ever looking for outside investment, the shares are not publicly traded so their value is not at the whim of investors reacting to events (and directly impacting the value of the company) but more related to what someone is prepared to pay to own all or part of the club. That someone might be willing to pay more for a PL club than an EFL club goes without saying. Operationally it removes a decent sized chunk of interest payments. So, yes they have not paid it off but now there is nothing of those particular loans to pay off.Absolutely right. The debit has being turned from a monetary amount to a share account. They have actually not paid anything off. Shares can as advertised, go down as well as up, so a slight gamble by the owners but better than it not being paid off at all.
Well if Oadlad is right then it sounds like Top has changed his mind.Supposedly Top genuinely believes Rodgers is the right man for the job and wants to give him the chance to turn it around.
It sounds like a fudge if true - ie, I can see things aren't working but I'm not sure about sacking you so let's try this instead. Not exactly convincing...Well if Oadlad is right then it sounds like Top has changed his mind.
And look how that ended. There was no way we were going down according to the manager, until we did.Genuinely thought he'd get sacked last Sunday.
It's like watching a modern adaptation of the Ian Holloway debacle.
Despite the obviousSupposedly Top genuinely believes Rodgers is the right man for the job and wants to give him the chance to turn it around.
The final two games of that season, JFC. The Hume penalty miss, Kisnorbo busting his own knee as he attempted to kick a ball, his actual job, and then the absolute cherry on top with sauce and sprinkles, Harry Worley in midfield at Stoke!!!!And look how that ended. There was no way we were going down according to the manager, until we did.
In the day, companies liked to have some kind of loss leader or an affiliated part of the company running at a financial loss to offset any tax bill. Not sure if that is still the case nowadays. I gave up on him being sacked after he survived the abject defeat at Forest. Top is asleep at the wheel.Genuinely thought he'd get sacked last Sunday.

they are in financial difficulties as an organisation. There are major, major, assets being put up for sale, but if something or someone is depleting your stock value you have to get rid, and we all know who's depreciating LCFC's assets at an alarming rate.Of course they have the money
nope, l watch his face game after game, not having that !Supposedly Top genuinely believes Rodgers is the right man for the job and wants to give him the chance to turn it around.
It's funny. if we win our 'game in hand' we'll actually be above them, and everybody wants rodgers gone, so why is it crazy he's been sacked? They haven't won for 12 games and are on the slide.I find sacking Vierra mad. Yes they might not have won this year but they’ve got draws with Brentford Brighton Man U Liverpool and Newcastle. They only lost by a goal to Chelsea Man City Man U and Brighton. It’s hardly terrible. They just can’t score. How Rodgers is getting away with this is IMO the most bizarre managerial decision in PL history. 7/10 of the bottom sides have changed their manager. Only Cooper Moyes and Bodgers still here
I gave up hope after we were embarrassed again at spurs, immediately after being embarrassed at Brighton, just after losing to a team who had 10 men for over an hour, all resulting in gaining 1 point from a possible 21. Oh we couldn’t score against Stockport in the middle of that shit show aswell.I gave up on him being sacked after he survived the abject defeat at Forest. Top is asleep at the wheel.
What are they selling? Hotels?they are in financial difficulties as an organisation. There are major, major, assets being put up for sale, but if something or someone is depleting your stock value you have to get rid, and we all know who's depreciating LCFC's assets at an alarming rate.
l've had this thought, knowing that people like this do not leave the exit doors closed for themselves in a £50m 5 year contract. My guess is and as been that he leaves for free if we are out of all cups and in the relegation position ! Is this what they are waiting for ?
Put him on gardening leave.Top can't afford to sack him. He hasn't got the dosh to pay the compo.
2 Polo farms, their horse racing stock and assets (200ish horses) that l know of.What are they selling? Hotels?
I was hoping that with Thailand now back open to Chinese tourists tht the coffers would get replenished, seems that's not the case then.
Isn’t that income from the Chinese middle classes now back online? How regularly do they lockdown?2 Polo farms, their horse racing stock and assets (200ish horses) that l know of.
China as running lock downs and there big money came from supplying the Chinese middle class with tax savings on expensive products. As opposed to a giant bar of Toblerone and City shirt for your dad once a year.
the Chines economy isn't what it was, whole cities are being shut down. Over 3 years they have lost a billion.Isn’t that income from the Chinese middle classes now back online? How regularly do they lockdown?
Good call I reckon till the summer. If he’ll do it.Meanwhile back on topic. Palace looking at bringing Hodgson back!!
I didn't know he'd died...Meanwhile back on topic. Palace looking at bringing Hodgson back!!
