Have your expectations been subdued ?

Never that high anyway with his tactics, would love to be able to relax on a two goal lead but not anymore. We need an Italian manager, have we ever had one?;)

2 0 is a horrible scoreline because as shown team gets one back and then then they have the confidence.

We should be 5th this year... any decent manager with a game a week should walk 5th... but if BR wants to talk down expectations.....

Yes my expectations have been subdued.
What Rodgers did on Sunday was probably the most inexplicable thing he’s done. Totally bizarre.
They strengthen there midfield - we reduce the numbers in there.
We put a fresh striker on - but the supply dries up entirely. It’s as though we’re playing with 10 men.
Rodgers himself says energy levels dropped yet he had the opportunity to freshen up - there was enough quality on the bench.
We’d played well for an hour and game was there to be won but thanks to his actions/inaction it was almost lost.

Bizarre action....but he has previous for it as we know.
Remember he froze skrytel out of the liverpool team (soyuncu) and I'm sure he fell out with coutihno...prob spelt wrong.
So nothing really surprises me with him anymore.

My expectations have always been to become a mid table team established in this league with the odd decent cup run.

Yes I want more. I want European football every season but I don’t expect it.

What I do expect is a manager who can use the players he has available to their best. This includes making timely substitutions on a hot day.

Hold on, you have been one of the ones telling us that we only finished as low as 8th last season because of the injuries.
Yes but we are starting to get injuries again, so it's clear we need players to get higher than we did and if we lose Fofana we definitely need new players.

Ah yes, the injuries again. Playing too much football wasn't it? So you weren't originally expecting any injuries at all this year?

Football doesn't work like that. How can we be fifth when we can't buy players?
Football doesn't always work the way you seem to think either. Which of last season's signings actually made a substantial positive difference to our performances or results? However, I think that new signings to address areas where we are weakest would certainly improve our chances - and there is still time for this to happen...

So Daz, does this statement only apply to teams playing against us? My excitement of seeing this come true lasted all of 90 seconds. Or is there another excuse you can come up with?

Arsenal have spent almost £300 million. Don't you expect a gulf in class???
I expect us to be able to hold out for longer than 90 seconds. That wasn’t anything to do with gulf in class, spending 300 million or whatever other shite excuse given, that was about our players having an inability to concentrate at at critical time. We have to stop making excuses

I'm not making excuses, merely highlighting if we had £300 to burn most of our chances would have been buried.

We didn't spend 300 mill when we won it....but we did have desire..passion..players doing the basics right...organisation...something I rarely see under this manager.
Man City haven't shown desire..passion.. in the last few seasons just players of a higher quality doing the basics right.

Our league win was a fluke, so you can't hold that as a pedestal to aspire to.

Nothing will improve until Rogers stops sulking and playing games with the owners or (preferably) fucks off
