Fofana off?

Melissa (whoever she is?) said so on SSN Transfer Show! While the other 2 blokes were probably “gathering momentum” with their cocks out under the table!

I feel there is a lack leadership from the top starting price fofana 150 million or fuck off we don’t seem to have any spokesperson other than Brendan need some positives!

Jordan Blackwell's has an excellent analysis of the WF situation in today's Merc although his conclusion might may not be
welcome...

Chelsea have apparently had a £60m offer kicked back but are prepared to beat our record of £80m to get him. Can we/will we hold out? - I doubt it

Ridiculous if they let him go now. You should at least give us one more season after signing the extension only 4/5 months ago & you will get bigger clubs than chelsea coming for you, should be the line we spout out.
Definitely get 100 mil plus next summer.
Even if he was a bit peed off about us not letting him go ( who knows) I don’t get the impression his performances would suffer.

We need the money though

Do we??

But do we need the money by selling our best seed corn prospect?
And we will need a fair chunk of any fee to replace him.

I reckon he could out-mardy the snivelling arab, if push comes to shove.
Let's face it – he's a proper Froggie, not just Froggie-speaking......

This time last year his career could have been finished...or could have returned similar to Ricardo with lots of additional problems, so assuming we'd get a £100m next year is a risk.
Selling him a risk.
Glad I'm not paid to make these decisions.

Press conference quote from Rodgers:
When asked about the futures of Fofana and Maddison, Rodgers admitted that Leicester are in a difficult position this summer but remained adamant that the in-demand duo would not be leaving the club.

“These players are not for sale,” Rodgers said in his press conference ahead of Leicester’s opening Premier League clash against Brentford.

“These are very important players to us. We’re in a situation where we need to move some players out but that doesn’t mean getting rid of anyone and everyone, and especially not our best assets.

“You don’t want to lose your top players, this is something that the club are very strong on. At this moment in time, James and Wesley are training very hard and getting ready for our game on Sunday.”

If they’re sold now he will have to go voluntarily or otherwise

Lost 100 million in the last 2 years so I guess so

Our financial model is hardly a secret
This financial model has been discussed by Clapham elsewhere, the gist of it being does it actually exist?
We didn't want to sell Kante, we had no choice.
We didn't want to sell Mahrez and held on to him for some time.
Didn't want to sell Maguire until Man U offered silly money that nobody would turn down.
We sold Drinkwater because it made sense.
Chilwell went for stupid money and because we had better options (until injuries).
We clearly don't want to sell Tielemans but he won't extend.
We clearly don't want to sell Fofana or Maddison.

As Hackney says, this idea that our ‘model’ is to sell a prized asset for big money every 1/2 years is a myth. Those sales were imposed on us, not part of a strategy.

A loss of £100,000,000 over 2 years

The numbers don't lie whatever Hackney says.

Why? Sounds like he doesn't want them to go so if they do someone else will have made the decision.
I’m assuming that he has been assured that they won’t be sold so he’s made this unequivocal statement. If the Club now reneges and sells over his head I would expect him to walk.
