anyone one here live there ? Been a walk around the pubs there tonight with my B I L, as I've only ever been through the place previously. Thought it was ok actually, and the towns quite nice.
Got some odd looks in some in the pubs, probably because we had less fingers than them !

They have 12? 😱 😊

went in 4, one of them The Grapes, had a Forest plaque up, told em. It was full of retards to be honest. Can't remember the names of the others. I'll be up there most weeks as family have moved there. Not sure were the Cutting Room is but I'll check it out.

Its almost opposite the Noel Arms which used to be a decent rock band pub but is really a shitehole when there's no bands on.
Anne of Cleves is near to the cathedral.

I lived in melton for 20 years, most of the decent pubs have gone, Bricklayers, Rutland arms, the Fox. Generous Briton is still ok, the Grapes used to be a bikers pub. I was up there in March and Friday night was dire. The Boat is about the best pub just down from the Noel’s arms.

I'll remember the names next week, shan't be going in the Grapes with that filthy plaque on the wall !

I'll try it out, my B I L will suss the decent places out, and he knows a few people from Leicester who now live up there. I'll mention the boat to him cheers.

Do you know anyone who can supply false fingers ?

The boat is an old fashioned boozer good craic on a weekend and Sundays.
There is a shop jn the middle of town that does the fingers it’s called Ye olde Finger Shop it’s a bit expensive though and watch out for the Hand me downs!

St Mary's isn't a Cathedral
I was going to say if you think the Noels Arms is a dump, try the Boat down the street, but I'm 22 years out of date.
Isn't Daz the man for this? I'm sure he said he lives in Melton.

I do but bnet won't want to hear from me as I don't exist.

Fourwalls Gallery at the top of Burton Road is run by Laz, City fan. Usually has some interesting Leicester City memorabilia to buy.
Cutting Room is behind the Genny B. I`m told the Noels Arms has closed ???

some of my mates use the boat all the time, I think the Noel’s may have closed or is just open at weekends.
The crown is also popular.
Also up Nottingham rd is th Welty a big estate pub.

Of course this is where the phrase "Paint the town red" was born bnet and it had fack all to do with the scum up the road !!

If you want to watch live sport cutting room is the place but the food isn't great. If you want food with your pint I recommend the harboro hotel. But there are quite a lot of eateries. Yes the Noels is closed which is a shame as they did decent live music there.
