Yeah, it’s boring. But if it thrills you, crack on.Is that your way of accepting that your mock shock and outrage about people using the term frogs on here is just more bollocks from you?

You've lost me. Best go back to being outraged by people saying Frogs on here (I doubt it was meant to be "hilarious" in the first place)Yeah, it’s boring. But if it thrills you, crack on.
We won’t be checking for the 180 day rule and won’t be stamping as many passports.A chap on the telly has just said they don’t expect the same problems coming back which suggests that the French are implementing the checks more vigorously than the UK.
And we be fully staffed in line with our commitments. We won't, I hope, not bother turning up as a means of making a point. We won’t be checking for the 180 day rule and won’t be stamping as many passports.
Nothing to stop you living abroadOoh, some of you, which little gang is that?
I live here, my future and that of my son is dependant on the country being a success. I just happen to believe that Brexit, our current PM and the next one (I’m assuming Liz Truss) have and will be a disaster for this country. Doesn’t make me dislike my country or it’s people, just not that keen on certain rabid xenophobes.
I’d also have liked the opportunity to buy and live abroad and for my son to perhaps further his education inside Europe. Those choices have been taken away.
Is that why you drink lager?I'm allowed to call them "Frogs".
Cos I am a quarter French. My grandma (not the one with the greenhouse) was French.

Only 90 days in 180 as mentioned by adumass earlier. Fees are now higher for education as no longer a member.Nothing to stop your son furthering his education inside Europe.
Why is there a 180 day rule? Who does it benefit? We won’t be checking for the 180 day rule and won’t be stamping as many passports.
The passport booths for the French border are in DOVERWhat, like this?
View attachment 4452
The passport booths for the French border are in DOVER
The passport booths for the UK are in CALAIS.
The delays were/are in DOVER because the FRENCH border officials didn't turn up to man the booths in DOVER
If the Government had paid for the additional booths then all that would have happened is there would have been more empty booths in DOVER because the FRENCH border officials didn't turn up.
If you plan to live abroad - rather than have a holiday home- then the 90 or 180 day limit is somewhat irrelevant I would have have thoughtOnly 90 days in 180 as mentioned by adumass earlier. Fees are now higher for education as no longer a member.
Very interesting
French Govt passport booths in Dover are check on the way out, they rejected paying to double the capacity. How do you know they wouldn't turn up if they provided them. The passport booths for the French border are in DOVER

So you’ve just admitted there are problems now due to Brexit. Glad you’ve finally seen the light. If you plan to live abroad - rather than have a holiday home- then the 90 or 180 day limit is somewhat irrelevant I would have have thought
If your son really wants to study in Europe then I am sure your won't object to paying the additional cost. I don't see why the UK Working Class should subsidise the Middle Classes to be honest.
Why have you assumed I’m middle class. If you plan to live abroad - rather than have a holiday home- then the 90 or 180 day limit is somewhat irrelevant I would have have thought

More like a bit of inconvenienceSo you’ve just admitted there are problems now due to Brexit. Glad you’ve finally seen the light.
An inconvenience? Can’t decide to stay in holiday home for as long as I want and sons education costs thousands more.More like a bit of inconvenience
Telling the truth, although I also think that you're middle class, I don't think that anyone should care about it these days. Why have you assumed I’m middle class.
No. They are are a check on the way in. It was clearly explained in the comment piece that i posted earlier.French Govt passport booths in Dover are check on the way out, they rejected paying to double the capacity. How do you know they wouldn't turn up if they provided them.
That's okay. That’s all the vogue these days with the nouveau bourgeois. You're doing great. You don’t know me or my background so you have no idea. The idea of motoring in France horrifies me. I don’t drive.
NopeSo you’ve just admitted there are problems now due to Brexit. Glad you’ve finally seen the light.
Well if you are worried that access to your holiday home has been reduced to 90 days per annum from 180 days per annum you are not Working Class by any definition that is plausible. Why have you assumed I’m middle class.
Simply take citizenship then you can stay as long as want and get the Frogs to pay for your son’s educationAn inconvenience? Can’t decide to stay in holiday home for as long as I want and sons education costs thousands more.
An inconvenience is the local shop closing and having to walk another couple of minutes.
Apologies that’s a city dweller comment, not so convenient if you only have one local shop.
Jeesus. So, the massive queue is on the way out, that's why it's in Dover, which is in the UK. The French check the documents for those travelling to France, whilst in Dover in the UK. This is now taking a bit longer due to changes made after Brexit, so the queues in Dover in the UK have got quite long. It was proposed for the UK to pay to double the number of booths for the French officials to use, in Dover in the UK, to check those traveling to France, not in the UK. The UK Govt declined. Some people who make lazy assumptions about the French say they wouldn't have turned up anyway. If you're that good at predicting the future perhaps you should be playing on the lottery, in the UK.No. They are are a check on the way in. It was clearly explained in the comment piece that i posted earlier.
The system is that you don't get to board the ferry to France unless you have cleared French Border control in DOVER. That's DOVER. Dover in the United Kingdom. If you clear FRENCH BORDER CONTROL in DOVER in the UNITED KINGDOM, when you get to CALAIS in FRANCE you drive off the ferry and hit the highway. I have done this many many times.
On the return trip you pass through UK CUSTOMS & BORDER CONTROL in FRANCE. I have done this many times and have been pulled up a couple of times but passed. When I hit the UK i drove straight off the ferrry/Eurostar and hit the highway.
The border control control is done in the Country of departure not entry.
Clearly, you have never done the trip ever.
