If he drops his ambitions he’ll be looking at teams and players not up to the standard we have at lcfc.He needs to go , he is becoming the story and it is a circus.
The club needs him to go to generate funds
The issue is Tielemans is not that good , judging by the interest many also
think that way
He has no pace ,is careless when tackling and unless he drops his ambitions he
probably ain’t going anywhere soon.
Actually what he said was Tielemans is a player who doesn’t benefit from not playing. That doesn’t show a team player attitude to me - he is part of a squad. I’m sure at a team with more better players he’d get used to not playing every game and have to work harder to get a place.I don't think Rodgers would have any hesitation in dropping Tielemans if his attitude was a problem - see Soumare, for example. But Rodgers is on record saying that he continually picks Tielemans because his attitude and professionalism are exemplary. I know he had a poor season last year by his standards, but maybe it wasn't his attitude that was the problem?
If Tielemans is still with us this season, he'll be a regular starter irrespective of whether he's signed a new contract or not.
This is the quote I was referring to:Actually what he said was Tielemans is a player who doesn’t benefit from not playing. That doesn’t show a team player attitude to me - he is part of a squad. Those funds generated will be spent on replacing him and will probably cost more than we get for him.He needs to go , he is becoming the story and it is a circus.

Yes but we had a team who were just coming to fruition and on a roll we at the moment are apoor imitation of that sideWe had no chance of winning the Premier League
Top four In place of who? Can't see it myselfMaybe he can make a contribution to us getting into the Champions League again
That would present him with quite a dilemma
That's the spiritTop four In place of who? Can't see it myself

Judging by the penalties he gives awayAnd I still maintain he is a attacking midfielder not a defensive one .....
as someone has pointed out he is not a good tackler never has been
I think we underestimate how much Ndidi playing (well) at CDM affects the midfield - not least because it frees up Tielemans but also breaks up oppo attacks before it gets harum scarum. Those funds generated will be spent on replacing him and will probably cost more than we get for him.
If he signs a years extension we have a great player already part of the squad who will give his all to get 'bigger' teams showing an interest again.
We'll also have Ndidi back (hopefully the one from 2020/21 not 2021/22) so Tielemans can revert to being an attacking midfielder.
Don't mind if that happens.Signing a new contract.
60million release clause.
Watch him have a blinding season and world cup.
Bidding war next summer.
What? won’t be playing and his views won’t affect the outcome of gamesThat's the spirit
