Demari Grey

There was always talent there - but just nothing between the ears, as far as we could see. He didn't impress Leverkusen's coaching team, any more than he did Rodgers. But perhaps Rafa can get him to perform consistently....or not.

Let's see where he's up to come Xmas

Hes too direct for Brendan.

He likes to run forward. None of this sideways and backwards nonsense.

Its a weakness of Brendans if he doesn't recognise there are other ways than his to win.

I've always thought you played to a players strength.

It's like BR said about the game on Saturday. Sometimes we were trying to get the ball too early to vardy where we needed to be patient and get an extra pass in to open things up. Don't forget this is a style that had us finishing 5th twice and winning the FA cup and Community shield.

I am optimistic about this season. However, I am about as certain as I can be that Demarai Gray will come to the KP next May, be booed loudly by the crowd, then score and celebrate by standing in front of our fans and cupping his ears.

Apart from a good performance against Derby reserves in the FA Cup, what other times did he impress during his time with us? I genuinely can't remember a single stand out game.

In the title winning season he and Ulloa were decent at running the clock down in the corners.

He had every chance. Very young and inexperienced when he arrived at 19 we gave him 5 years! That’s a lot. He simply wasn’t evolving for whatever reason. At £55k/week it was time to get rid. But let’s see in a few months where he is.
What I will say is Benitez is proving what a great manager he is. To get anything out of Gray and Townsend is nothing short of miraculous. You saw how he kept a bang average side like Newcastle mid table. I think Everton will get too 6 with no European footie to distract them.

The thing that has impressed me about him this season is that all three of his goals have been excellent finishes - I wouldn't have expected him to show that much composure when he played for us. Obviously they've been doing a lot of work with him.

He has said he weren’t right here definitely thought he had the ability.
He will be worth 50M by end of the season

If you remember he finished well on that 1 on 1 vs West Ham a couple of seasons ago. He can do it but lost his way with us. It’s going to be interesting to see whether he’s a short or long term gem. We’ll know next year

It's 8:15
And that's the time that it's always been
We got your message on Leicester radio
You let us down, and you're not coming home

I can't see him being booed Clapham, he'll probably score though. Apart from games against us I wish him all the best

I'm sorry but Townsend is and always been a grafter imo. Probably why we tried on so many occasions to sign him
