Your first gig

PFM - Italian rock band - Leicester Poly 1975. I was one of the few in the audience that wasn't wearing cheesecloth r smelling of Brut.

Mi mam took me & a mate to see Darts at The De Mont, must have been about 1978.
We were allowed to stand whilst she sat upstairs.
First gig unaccompanied was The Boomtown Rats at Granby Halls in 1979.

Went with my Sunday School to see Cliff and the Shadows In 1966. I saw the light during the interval, but it turned out to be the Commissionaire’s torch.
I saw Frankie Vaughn at Cov Hippodrome and Adge Cutler and the Wurzels at South Pier Blackpool with me mam and dad

The night before was a Disco, where a combination of weak eyesight and a session of Thatchers found me dancing with some woman in her late thirties to ‘Yellow River’. For a moment it was more like the Yalu River, with the KPA Tank Brigade coming down the hill in their T-34s.

‘Good Grief Christina’ I shouted at her at De Mont in 72, ‘What’s Your Name’, through that tip hazed with Cigarettes, Women and Wine.

As I was a son of a strict father I couldn't go to the DeMont until I was 15.
