Will we be able to find an exact clone with the same 'big idea' to carry it on? or
Will we ditch the 'big idea', and work out what to do with the 25 tippy-tappy merchants on our books?
 
Don’t know the answer. But Iooking at most Premier league matches…… I’d say we need some warriors .
Current team looks lightweight, with some weaklings and fragile mentalities.
Obviously doing a terrific job in this league but let’s get promoted and get a new plan in place.

I agree. ( nice to see you yesterday by the way). The team to look at is Brighton. They play the same way except have much better players than us. That’s what we need to aim for and I’m sure Enzo is too.
What I can’t work out in my head is we’ve won 19/23 games ( should have been 20) which is bonkers yet quite often we’ve struggled to break teams down, even the likes of Rotherham who are bottom. We’ve only scored 4 times, yes just 4 times in the first half at home this season. Yet we’ve won 10/12. An unbelievable stat
 
The first half in home games is a grind Little entertainment but second half a different side
Team way short on talent if we get promoted would leak goals every game in the top flight
The strengthening needs to start in January , in Enzo we trust 😁
 
Going to be a few Premier League clubs looking for a new manager in the new year, Man Utd, Newcastle for starters, I think Enzo will stay for at least 1 season in the Premier League with us…
 
Likewise, I don't think Enzo would go lightly, it would have to be a sleeping giant like Wolves. :)

Seriously, it would take a really big club to tempt him, I think he lives in the area and his family seem settled, that is an important part..
If he can unload a couple of players this window to free up some money, that would be great.
BTW, The Brummie James scored again yesterday, what did Pep say? He/his staff watched a player 30 times before deciding wether to go in for him.
 
We don't have 25 tippy-tappers yet, but you can bet we will have in a couple of years. We have a core of players who are clearly above Div2 level but who, bar a couple, are either unproven at PL level, or proven not really good enough (or past it).
It's taken Brighton 6 years of exceptional Bloom and Ashworth-led development to reach where they are, with the last four overseen by very skillfully-selected coaches – after having much more of a grinder in charge to make sure they stayed up for the first tricky couple of seasons until the money really started flooding in.
And Brighton don't really play the same way when you get into the detail – watch a few of their games and you'll see they are massively less repetitive and ponderous, regardless of their cutting edge being many levels above our lot.
But the key leadership issue is that we have Rudkin at the helm with Top.
Hence my expectation that Brighton's path isn't the one we'll be taking post-TCR....
 
Might be a bit controversial but I think Winks, Ndidi, KDH is as good as most bottom half prem midfields. To be proved but Fatawu is also worth a try .. but be are woefully short of a goal scorer, have very little squad depth and are weak by premier league standards all the way along the back. I hope Enzo stays, but he will need a lot of financial backing if we are going to stay up.

Its shit to watch but we generally dont struggle to break them down. We are just persistent and easired in doing it. We rarely fail to do so.
