Wet Spam match thread

Certain games need different tactics and different players and this is one of those games!
If we are still paying Slimani then why not put him in the Squad.
Lumping the ball forward in the last Ten mins may not be pretty but it would have put pressure on them at the back today

Rodgers has been out thought today with some basic tactics.
Our plan B is the same as plan A with different players!!!

Starting with 5 defenders at home is always a worrying sign. Are West Ham worthy of those tactics?
 
No that was our problem end of last season we had to play Morgan. So we desperately needed a centre half. Also a winger and full back was more of a priority. We got the players we needed. Perez and Ian Nacho can play centre forward so it wasn't as desperate as the other positions.
 
Forget 3 at the back with our players we're not suited to it
If we persist have to have 2 up front playing Vardy on his own won't work
 
A dose of our own medicine today
Get the injured players back and we will be more than ok
 
You could see it after 10 mins they were going to play the same way we did at the Etihad so way no change????

Perez & kelechi are strikers on paper. They don’t walk the walk & are not good enough for a team who want to finish top half.
If Evans or Caglar get injured/ suspended, without buying we would still have a center half, lose vardy & we have nothing.
 
Thought Nacho did more in 20 minutes than Perez and Tielemans managed in the previous 60-70. He made things happen. Created chances for himself. Put the single best through ball of the game for the poorly finished Vardy effort - plus his link up play before and including our goal that was disallowed.
Apart from the cup game I can’t think of any game time since lockdown where’s he’s not brought something extra to the game.
 
Not good enough for a team who wants to finish tip half where did we finish last season. Perez and Ian Nacho were a big part of that.

There are no excuses ......as I said it was plain to see what was happening early on so why did'nt we change our formation and mitigate there plan, Antonio was always going to be a threat with his muscle and speed just outplayed by a guy in the stands who saw our weakness and applied a resolution pity Stuart Pearce was there.

Stuart Pearce was taking telephone instructions from David Moyes (who was at home). Ans writing them down and pssing them to Alan Irvine.
