West Brom Match Thread

One game Daz.
If you’d watched inheacho for 2 years prior to this last 2 months you wouldn’t have gone near him.
Pereira is a quality player, mark my words.
Nacho always had the talent but never the game time can't understand why people can't see this. He wasn't getting games so his confidence was low and therefore when he did play he was trying too.

Typical balck lad not being rasist before anyone starts very much like Emile good manager puts his arm round him and tells him he can do it

Was it my stream but with the sound several seconds ahead of the play it was strange.
I heard TC had struck the post when we were taking a throw in...
So good we took the second half off... lovely to see Madds back, the wheel now has a hub.
Bit worried by JV. His touch has deserted him and he could have run the ball past the keeper when pinching that ball on the half way line....
Will be glad when his wife's court case is over.
I got the same Oadlad I knew Evans had scored before ball hit the net

This confidence issue is interesting. I never got the idea that JV was short in that area. Nor was Gray but none of BR's magic did the trick with him. Likewise Perez has confidence to burn and has a good grasp of how the game works but lacks the technique to effect it at times.
BR's abilty to analyse the potential or otherwise of his players is his strength but there will be those who cannot benefit for whatever reason.
As the squad improves then the demands on individuals must increase, that's how the collective improves. BR will adopt the approach differently for all his players as he assesses them but as standards rise then some will fail and move on.
A good way to sense where players are is how managers try to fit them in to the shapes adopted (remember how Jeff Schlupp, lke Gray, played in several positions but finally failed to be master of anywhere?).
Ultimately players are investments and the managers job is to increase their value, making that decision on whether they will pass that test is the litmus test for a manager in a club of our size. We are in good hands.

Well faced with the choice of disposing of the sound or vision I chose...
reminds of the old joke about Coronation street losing both sound and vision and the apology saying 'we hope it did not spoil your enjoyment'
