Vaccine Passports

based on the latest news, it sounds like any covid passport would be a waste of time anyway. there are so many variables as to make it unfathomable as to its use. especially as the virus mutates differently around the world.

which brand of vaccine did you have?
which edition of that brand did you have? winter 2020, summer 2021, etc etc.
did you have both shots 3wks apart, or 12 wks apart?
did you have the booster?
was the booster the same brand as the original?
etc. etc.

how could businesses, or us as individuals, possibly keep on top of it to know if we meet the required criteria to, for example, get on a plane or not?
will it be e.g. if you had oxford vaccine then you can only travel to X and Y, but if you had pfizer then you can go to Z. or you can only drink in this pub if you've had the booster , but the booster needs to be from moderna.

Based on the previous 10 months - the fact it is pointless and unworkable in a practical sense will not stop Johnson & the Eton Comedy Troupe if there is an opportunity to help their friends and family help themselves to a few more million of tax-payers money.

You need to think this through.

Everything you say is correct so, in effect, it gives the authorities the means to stop you doing anything the regulations will be complex and counter intuitive, always being changed or modified and you will always be in the wrong.

I very much hope I am wrong but... ☹️

Some people can't even have the vaccine.

There will be no Covid passport and the little card they give out, could be forged by a five year old.

This government wouldn't know how to set up a Covid passport...

Any more than they knew how to set up a track and trace system - didn't stop them spaffing £22 billion up against a wall.

If there is money to be siphoned off - they will give it a shot.

I think they're still waiting for one of their chums to buy out the Britannia or Best western brand before making quarantine in hotels compulsory for in-bound travellers.

I rather like the idea of a covid pisspot. These could be handed out on the flight, filled and tested before you get your suitcases back at Skegvegas International Airport

I stayed in a Best Western in Amsterdam.

Only know that from the receipt. Have no idea where it was, what it looked like or if I liked it.

A different type of Trip-advisor review there from me.

The last time i went to Amsterdam on business, I discovered that I'd been booked into the Top Kok Hotel. It was surprisingly OK.

Emirates has partnered with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to become one of the first airlines in the world to trial IATA Travel Pass, a mobile app to help passengers easily and securely manage their travel in line with any government requirements for COVID-19 testing or vaccine information.

IATA Travel Pass enables Emirates passengers to create a “digital passport” to verify their pre-travel test or vaccination meets the requirements of the destination. They will also be able to share the test and vaccination certificates with authorities and airlines to facilitate travel. The new app will also enable travelers to manage all travel documentation digitally and seamlessly throughout the travel experience.

It is up to countries to decide what their rules are for incoming passengers.

So I will just have to avoid the countries that require a jab, until the whole thing is forgotten about.

Prefer Devon anyway.

"a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers aged over 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission..." https://www.who.int/ith/ITH_country_list.pdf

It's all a scam, great reset, deep-state control etc

Excellent news . Hopefully be travelling again by winter .

I take a Benthien view on infectious disease we have to protect the majority if you don't like it go and live in the Isle of Man as punishment.

Given we’re much further down the line in our vaccination program than much of the world yet we can still carry the virus I’d be amazed if any international travel is possible this summer.

The Government should just stop it for this year, encourage people to holiday here in UK instead to put money into our economy and see how the land lies much later in the year.

I think there are one or two on here who have had the vaccine already...did they get a certificate? a card? and app? Anything?
