Two years already...

I drove up from the south on the Thursday to pay my respects and took my 81 year old friend who has been a ST holder for years. I’ve never been so moved by someone I’d never met. She said the same. That game at Cardiff and the Burnley home game will live long in memory. God bless you Vichai and the others that perished on that awful night.

At the Burnley game, I saw one of their fans (probably in his 60s) wrap his scarf on the railings. I went over to thank him and he had tears in his eyes. That has stayed with me more than anything else, in what was a terrible time for any Leicester fan. It is possible that he may have been laying the scarf and thinking of a loved one. But still; a surreal moment.

Can't believe it's two years, we were sat in La Torre in Coalville for my Grandson's birthday and my daughter saw the news on her phone, heartbreaking. And I'll never forget that twat Dan Roan either.

I was at a large gathering for a birthday party. Turned the mood from fun to sombre in an instant. Place was full of Leicester fans.

Dan Roan pops up on the TV now and then. Did he ever apologise?

I went straight from the West Ham game to the San Carlo.
Sat at the table and my daughter rang to tell me. I didn't know.
I told the waiters and they were in total shock.

I still write to the BBC every time they allow that 'man' to pontificate on the news about anything remotely important. They've stopped replying, but I feel it's important that they are reminded that he's a low-life.

That video that Hackers just shared. The worst and the finest moment that Filbert Way has witnessed, so far. Possibly ever.

It was about tragedy and triumph, sadness and respect and a fitting tribute to a man who made our dreams come true.

I put a lot of work into trying to find out about the man. His childhood car accident, where he put his survival down to the wearing of amulets and began a lifelong devotion, of attaching luck to rituals and religious objects. His college years in the United States. I've researched his business history and how he set up a small shop and turned it into an empire.

Was looking to write a book about him, as a thank you. But it is so hard to find very much detail. He was a very private man and a real enigma.

Still can't get my head around the end result of beating Wimbledon in that League Cup semi-final. Without that, Vichai would not have taken his son to watch the final and he would not have donated a substantial sum to the reburial of Richard III - and begin the process that led us to the Premier League title.

Pure magic.

Born on the Saff, brought up on the Monsell, left at 18 to go to uni, never lived in Leicester again.

Some nice memories of growing up in the 50s and 60s but that's about it, no real attachment to the city.

Except for LCFC.

Earliest memory that I can put a date to, last game of the 56-57 season, losing to Leyton Orient and being presented with the Division 2 Champions Shield after the game.

Life of an ordinary lad on the Kop in the 60s, The Man City 4-3 was the greatest experience of my football Life.

Until 2015-16.

I never met you and saw you in the flesh just once. Thank you Khun Vichai.

It's amazing how often that music is used, once you know it. I don't recall ever having heard it before that day. Watching a programme just now about boxers after they retire, and up it pops again at a reflective moment. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's a popular choice for City fans' funerals.

Kinell Rob, not seen that before. A gem. A mac classic. (y)

BLUE AMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so unbelievably fortunate to be supporters of such a classy club. Other fans can only dream about it. This was shown two years ago, and continues today with Susan Whelan, surrounded by a group of greedy blokes, being the only one to vote against PPV. Naturally Ed Woodward said he was against it too but somehow didn't put his hand up at the right time. The whole tribute thing was so touching, as was the celebration of the title win with Andrea Bocelli. I really do not think any other club could do things like ours does. Hopefully when things get back to normal we will be able to mark the anniversaries of Vichai's death in the way we have done before now. RIP Mr Chairman, Always in our Hearts.

Sadly, I'm beginning to think that it'll be nearer to the next anniversary of the accident before we'll all be congregated together again at the City...
