What a great effort by CV.
You get all the cheating, conning and conniving spoilt brats of the Premier League and then you get the distraught CV player sobbing his heart because he can't continue on the 70 minute mark.
Probably the greatest footballing day in his and his clubs life.
Football in the raw is beautiful.
The F.A. Cup may have lost its sparkle amongst the games elite, but trying telling that guy whose world fell apart when he could no longer contribute to his minnows big day out

Mrs E did her teacher training at Eltham College, Foots Cray not far away, not the worst area of Sarf Landan. I knew some of the local lads they loved their football, and I used to drink with them on my regular visits to the area.

I played for St George New Eltham in the late 80’s.
Charlton had lost the Valley so used our training pitches
We got free coaching from their staff for a short while as part of the deal.
We had 1 Charlton fan , 1 LCFC (me) and the rest Wall.
