It's going to be really bad next year due to no cuddling and spit swapping for a year and therefore no immunity

We're doomed, doomed I tell yer

Guardian reported a month ago that cold rates are a quarter of the five year average and Flu about a 20th of the usual level for this time of the year.

There will have been cases of Flu around, but the increased uptake of the Flu vaccine, lockdown, wearing of masks and social distancing will have vastly reduced caseload.

It hasn't disappeared...though of course the WHO just make stuff up, because Donald told us...

No the independent hasn't made anything up. They claimed one lab confirmed test for Flu in the last few weeks. That is very different from saying Flu has gone away. Most people have Flu, feel rough and then carry on. There would be no lab test performed...

Do you believe that though?
The truth is I don't know what to believe. It is a fact that the symptoms are similar and if you report it to the quacks the advice is generally similar, that is to say don't come in to the surgery, take paracetamol, self isolate for two weeks and if you get worse go to hospital. Therefore it's not an unreasonable assumption that some of the statistics may have been mixed up.
All the social distancing has obviously made a difference but if hundreds of thousands have caught Covid despite to the measures taken isn't it possible that flu could have been passed around as well?
