Why can't you? Maybe they don't support any particular side. Taking a stance (knee) against racism is different to choosing who to support in a war.

Taking a knee started back in 2016 as a protest about racial inequality and police brutality against black folk.(and was condemned at the time)
It’s 100% political.
Football had already started with its none political campaign of “kick racism out of football” which every decent football supporter could get behind and support.
Don’t need to see footballers cucking themselves, unless it floats your boat.
