I worked at Hearts of Oak for years, was it Area heath who moved across the road?

I know someone who used to work in the nearby Crescent. He said there are tunnels under that building. One which leads into the direction of the Prison and another much larger one, that heads off towards the city centre.

Wish I’d known that when I worked around there!

Anyone else go and see Oasis cover band No Way Sis in there back in the 90s? It was absolute carnage, a brilliant night.

I'd forgotten about that place Bruin used it often when I worked at Wolsey in King street in the 50's

In the old pubs, they all had cellars (dark cold, low ceilings & damp) and maybe 'secret tunnels'

Modern era, we have glycol cooler beer lines that take the beer from keg to the tap......olden days, no such technology so to keep it cool & fresh, pubs used underground cellars and used nature
