That was coming

I only watched it on my phone, in the car. We looked Ok. When I got home and switched the box on, couldnt believe Coady was on. Who went off?

You kidding he worked his socks off today
Get a new guide dog - he was very bad. Missed a very very good chance and and not so good chance in the first half. Adds nothing. Looks like he would rather be doing something else - couldn't even look at the fans when he walked by them after being subbed. A waste of money

He was playing at Palace where he played for years, he was hardly going to be high fiving with the away fans. Thought he had a decent game.

Fair enough - I did not consider the former player angle

However, I did not see the point of buying him and haven't seen anything to change my mind so far. the miss in the first half was very poor. I hope that he proves to be a valuable addition but I really don't get what he brings other that that mythical 'Premier League Experience'

When judging a player that I have concerns about (not him specifically) I like to watch them almost to the exclusion of where the ball/action is before I form an opinion. Hence, I really have issue with Ndidi albeit he was very good in the first half before reverting to type. I just wish that Cooper would read the game a bit (or a lot) better. Today cried out for fresh legs much earlier yet he persisted with the same bodies - he threw the subs into the battle when it was all about hanging on - and we paid for it

I'd love to see some stats on whether this trend of bringing on a defensive minded player (or two) to replace a more attacking player actually ends in conceding a goal and losing a lead, it seems to happen quite often, especially where were concerned.

It would seem quite obvious. Bringing on more defenders, means the oppo dont need to worry about your attackers.

All we learnt today was that we are not a million miles away from being able to get results

But Golem really need to make subs earlier - 70 minutes was way too late (again).
Absolutely pointless making subs at anytime if they are always defensively minded. Cooper called that on & it’s 100% his fault.
Anyone of sound mind would never put choudhury on to defend a one goal lead in a premier league game. Coadys poor tackle was the actions of a bloke who’s a yard off it because he never plays & on top of that faes had absolutely no idea where he was supposed to be once coady came on.
Cooper totally f####d that up.

What a peculiar criticism. You do realise that he went off the pitch about 50 yards away from us all, and then walked even further away to get back to the bench?
For what it's worth, I didn't think he was any worse than the rest of 'em. It seems the reality check, of where we now are,u is still to hit home for some.

It works if the players are good enough, and if they know how they're supposed to adjust to the new formation. Neither was the case today.

Coady won the ball but then fanny´d about allowing Sarr to nick the ball , panicked and clearly fouled Sarr.
Cooper screwed up both in selection and substitutions. Countless times they were allowed in behind and to play in front of the back 4. The balance and selection is wrong. Having said that we gifted 2 precious points and a win away! This will be forever a septic thorn in the ass for remainder of the season , bollox and double fookin´ cunty bollox!

All the manager experts on here - try it like I did.
First problem you have to overcome is all the issues have to be decided before the match.

I don't think anyone is claiming to be an 'expert'

Well, apart from you it seems

Best shut the board down if opinions not offered by a a pai-up member of the LMA?

It cried out for Ricardo.

H can play in various positions. He works his socks off and always gives 100 percent. You need players like this when you are fighting at the bottom.
