Taking the knee

Enough already.... a token 5 second kneel every Premier game?
I think we all get it now.... no room for racism. Agreed, not lets move on

I get the message and we need to rid the game of racism but fed up seeing this before every Premier game.
It’s another Yank thing anyway so why have we copied ?

If the players are still happy doing it then why not. We have to keep reinforcing the message only thing that will get through to these racists.

Someone needs to break cover and stay standing and just say this has run it's course and it's another American "thing" that we've somehow adopted.

With all the obvious COVID issues, unemployment, economy etc.. that we're dealing without the moment, I'm finding it even less relevant by the day.

The NHS clap was going that way until the woman who suggested said enough and we all went “phew”. Anyway, poppies.

ok, what does "taking the knee"actually mean in your view ? You all know it really its an act of submission don't you ! fools.

Time to end it, I didn't mind the message in the very beginning but it's gone on way too long. If anything it's creating a them and us ideology, which completely destroys any good it was meant to do.
Racism will always be there unless the powers that be come down hard on it. Personally I think this is in general a very tolerant country, and we have come a long way since my childhood days at Filbo.
Other countries especially Eastern European, have a much worse problem with it. The footballing authorities over many years have made plenty of noises about it, but in reality have done very little.
Club fines and the odd behind closed doors punishment barely affects most clubs and allows the issue to keep resurfacing.

I very nearly gave up on top level football this season. Variety of reasons, the racism agenda being one of the more important ones.

I am watching because, despite missing out on the Champions League, we have started pretty well, given the injury issues, very well. Not sure how long that will last.

I consider 'Taking the Knee' to be racist and divisive, there is racism in the world but this action actually makes me care less, I consider it virtue signalling at best, counter productive at worse.

Well when people miss the point so spectacularly, it only reinforces why attitudes have to change, in order for some actual change to take place. Sometimes, the stench of "I like things the way they are, because it suits me & I don't see any overall problem because actually it doesn't affect me" is overwhelming.

I don't care what Eastern European countries are like - at the end of the day, if we can find way to level the playing field which in turn further improves our society which in turn benefits everyone, I don't have a problem with that.

I can only take responsibility for my own thoughts and actions.

'Taking the knee' and the wider BLM movement have made me more wary of black people when, in normal life, this was not the case before.

Like all aspects of intersectionalism this movement is more divisive and makes things much worse, this is self evident to me.

Try saying White lives matter or All lives matter, on social media maybe, see how you get on.

It's a waste of time. Bit like face

Spot on misery. If people are serious about getting rid of racism, then getting down on one knee to show solidarity shouldn't be a problem.

That’s Bollocks Daz.
Solidarity with who exactly? Every black person? BLM?

It’s another American thing that we’ve wrongly decided means something !

"Solidarity with who exactly? Every black person?"

Why not? Is there a problem with this? Anyone who thinks 'BLM' demeans them, or thinks their place in society is lower as a result, really hasn't grasped things.

Level playing field - nothing more, nothing less.
