Hampshire lost by an innings to Warwickshire.
Somerset have won today too.
Notts will be full on for a win against us now.
 
It's not looking good. Beating Hampshire is a must and hoping we can get a rain draw from the top two in the division.
 
Getting the 50 runs to avoid the follow on is critical. If not, I think Notts will win fairly easily. Avoid the follow on and it becomes all about when Notts declare. A draw becomes much more likely and if they are reckless even an outside chance of a win.
 
The club site suggests that the unusual spin attack has saved the threatened 3pt deduction so, all round, not a bad week really. I feel two wins are needed, which remains quite a tall order – especially heading into the autumn...
