Thatched roofer
1. Won when playing a bottom 6 side
2. Tav did OK on debut
3. Second string turned up in the end
4. Coped with two long away trips in 4 days
5. No injuries (seemingly) for the second successive game
6. Scored from a fucking corner!
7. Stopped conceding just after the break
8. Always good to come from behind

That's eight more than I expected at half time, tbh

13. Vardy looked better & sharper than he has done for many a match. Chasing defenders into corners again & that dummy & turn on dunk with 5 mins to go for the “penalty” was great to see.
Ah yes, was that when he latched on to that killer pass from..........er, oh, wossissname....

It's funny, Lallana was trashed on here when it looked possible he was incoming but looked their classiest player, despite a long time out.
With luxury of hindsight he may have been quite useful at the moment... :)

Sorry Oadlad but how would a barely fit Lallana have been much use? Just as part of a numbers game given our own injury crisis? Yes, he looked their classiest player last night but in previous games I've seen when he has been involved he's been largely anonymous (apart from "oh, look, he's injured himself again"). I've generally sat there thinking "thank God we didn't go for him". I find it staggering that it's taken him the best part of 3 quarters of a season to have an impact despite being involved in one way or another in the majority of their games (though admittedly usually not for 90 minutes or even anywhere near it) even taking into account his almost complete lack of playing time over recent seasons. (And I know you mean only in a footballing sense but from a salary and evolution perspective I saw little then and even less now to be gained by having him in our squad.)

I suspect AL's agent persuaded Potter to also sign Welbeck, as a very useful deflection away from his client when BHA are determining who the biggest waste of money has been.
It doesn't take much to look like one of their classiest players, particularly when Webster, Lamptey and March are missing. They have some 'propper' rubbish on their books, like Jakanbash who came on as sub – who we were rumoured to be very keen on when they signed him. To be fair, they should've maybe hung onto Murray, whose goals kept them up for the last three seasons...
I noticed that Izquierdo was finally back on their bench last night – remember that corking goal he scored for Bruges against us at home in the CL? Done next to fuck all since!
