Poor Donny

Personally I see a huge difference in general disagreement on an idea and and policy, even when quite vehement, and the kind of specific, personal attacks carried out by 'the left'.

I am a great believer in social justice, what have I ever said that would suggest otherwise? What I have no time for is intersectionality, cancel culture, gender manipulation, third (or is it now fourth) wave feminism, equality of outcome and the rest.

Divide and rule has been a policy tool of government forever, it is up to ordinary people to resist.
I've not said you personally are against social justice, what the article talks a out and the latest culture war is against social justice. Stoking up trouble and using woke as a pejorative term so they can continue their unfair policies while the angry mob do their dirty work for them.

Yes divide and rule has been used forever, they still can't see it. The latest mob are brilliant at it, as can be seen by their continued popularity in the polls.

Who is on the ‘right’ on here?
Exactly. I never considered myself 'right wing' until I came on here. Being to the right of Joe Stalin practically made me a Nazi, which I kind of embraced as a 'wind up'.

There are people that support Trumpism, Farage and our "Tommy". Are they not right-wing?
I liked Trump for the outsider that he was. He got so much flak he must have been 'over the target' a lot of the time.

Farage is a hero for, almost single handedly, getting the government to give the people a vote on Brexit. Like Trump he suffered a lot of personal abuse for his views and I am grateful to him for that.

To be fair AFC. I wasn't thinking of you as being to the right.

You just like some of the poster boys and girls.

I would counter that by saying that the culture war as you put it is not against social justice, it is against the perversion of social justice into some kind of competitive victimhood designed to reclassify ordinary people as oppressors for not taking all the bullshit seriously enough.

For me it is summed up by the hijacking of the idea of equality from 'equality of opportunity' to equality of outcome'.

Why do you believe in this right wing threat nonsense? When did the right carry out a terrorist attack in this country? How about a murder? Maybe some rioting and looting? Smash up a few statues even?

You need to stop reading and watching the MSN, believe what you see, not what you are told.
The murder of Jo Cox was by a far right extremist.
Vincent Fuller attacked non whites the day after the Christchurch Mosque Attack.
London nail bomb attacks 20 years ago.

Europol report says we had the highest number of far right attacks in Europe in 2019

MI5 those well known lefties say violent right wing extremism is a major threat in the UK:

You’re coming over a bit NFP here, head buried in sand. You haven’t seen a right wing attack so it can’t have happened.
MSM, Europol and MI5 all making it up?

Morning Hackney, trust you are well.

You are correct, I have not seen a right wing attack because, quite frankly, there have not been any, a couple of nutters and anti-gay bomb attacks 20 years ago, that's about it. And that is in an atmosphere that automatically brands any random violence by an ethnically white person as 'right wing extremism. It is all quite ridiculous.

Compare that to the death and destruction of islamic terrorism, race riots, the rise in recreational vandalism and looting, drug gang knifings and you are going on about right wing extremism that barely exists outside the thoughts of police/intelligence services desperate to maintain their budgets.

Morning Harwich.

As always, language is a bit difficult in these areas. The Sturmabteilung were never more than a rather nasty band of uniformed street fighters, they were not issued with arms though this did not stop them from arming themselves with improvised weapons and fire bombs.

Rather like Momentum the SA were a creature of the party, not the state so were ideal for the rather nasty jobs that the state or party leadership wanted done but did not want to be seen doing themselves. Once in total control the SA was no longer needed, it was disbanded, with extreme prejudice in June/July 1934. After this 'Stormtrooper' took on a more military context, pretty much reverting to it's original World War 1 meaning.

Current government policy over covid is extremely authoritarian and dictatorial, that is without doubt but I can't describe it as 'fascist' or even 'Neo-fascist', that really does not sit right with me.

In order to be genuinely anti-facist, first work out who the real fascists are.
Trump has read Mein Kampf, don't his actions Eg stoking racial conflict and casting doubt on democratic institutions seem familiar, and alarming ? The SA were a militaristic organisation used by Hitler in much the same way as trump was using white militia and encouraging the storming of the Capitol by armed mobs.

So right wing extremists who kill people are written off as nutters yet left wing extremists are just that.
You’re either in the wind up or completely deluded and are well down the rabbit hole.

I have read Mein Kampf, I have also read Das Kapital.

Trump has been reported as having stoked racial hatred, but in reality I think not. I also think that the November election was rigged so Trump was perfectly correct to make that point, Personally I have seen too much evidence to believe otherwise.

If the 'mob' entering the Capitol were armed, I have seen no evidence of it. Shots were fired, by law enforcement, that is known.

You do know that Trump was acquitted right? Twice!!! even though they have had it in for him within 17 minutes of his election.

You haven’t seen any evidence that proves it as none exists.
Firstly, if you refuse to look, you will not find anything, that is how the MSN both here and in the US have dealt with this.

Secondly the courts refused to look at the evidence and simply ignored hundreds of sworn affidavits from people at the count and analysts looking into voting patterns. I have found sufficient to convince to convince me that the fraud was real and substantial.
My judgement, you will of course have your own.

I thought the law was the law?
Then that is your first big mistake, if that was the case the USA election would have gave a totally different result. Changes to election voting cannot only be made by state legislators ( USA Constitution ) This was not carried out in the key states but so what who cares about the Law of the land when you control the FBI, or CIA

We don’t have an extreme right wing problem in this country????
Time you started reading and watching MSM again.
Second biggest rise in terrorist plots is by the extreme right.
Really, though? How many of these extreme right wing terrorist plots have come to fruition?

If MI5 believe there’s a major problem then I’m more inclined to believe them than those who say there’s no problem because they’ve never seen a right wing attack themselves.

This is, to me, one of the big problems in the country at this time. People believe what they are told, not what they see, the government, its public sector and the main stream media have learned that they can drive the agenda by lying and simply making things up.

It really is as simple as that, there a few if any consequences when they are caught out (ask David Cameron, Cresida Dick, Piers Morgan et al) yet people still believe.

You do know that the US Senate requires a two-thirds majority to convict in an impeachment right? The cowardly Republicans who admitted elsewhere they thought he incited the whole thing voted to save him. You could even find that out on "Main Street" media.

I'm sure you have done your research and aren't just repeating something you read somewhere, but are you sure what you have written is correct?

My understanding is that individual states set there own rules in elections, and in the November election rules were changed in 30 states not just the so called swing states.

Maybe do some research

Yes I do , and they lost . If you watched the Circus that it was, they could not win even editing the evidence.
