Only 3 British Cathedrals.......

........have 3 spires. Litchfield,Truro and St. Mary's Episcopal,Edinburgh. Lincoln had three until 1549 when the middle spire collapsed and it was not rebuilt.
Well that's my cultural offering for today. Do with it what you may. Funny the length's you might stray to when one is a bit pissed off with the football!
 
My Dad worked on the roof of Truro Cathedral back in the 60s for Norman & Underwood, I worked on the old Schoolhouse at the back of it a couple of years ago, it’s a very impressive building..
 
The old schoolhouse is in the grounds of the church, was left empty after they closed the school for about 20 years and was all dilapidated, all done out and it’s a drop in learning centre now. There is an Old Schoolhouse pub/restaurant near Porthtowan not far from Truro...
 
Random fact Peterborough cathedral has only one tower , as it's on a fen it was sinking under the weight so second was scrapped,interestingly the medieval wooden mouse's wheel lifting apparatus is still inside according to my work colleagues?
