“Oh yes for the youngster”

One of THE moments of my LCFC life. When both goals went in nobody moved. Firstly couldn’t believe we’d scored and secondly never been so squashed in my life behind that goal. Thank goodness the Birch was crocked that day

Incredible thing is after leaving us as a 21 year old, he made over 700 appearances in his playing career. Amazing

Half of those were indoors playing for Tacoma Stars - he still lives in America apparently.

Brilliant day, then got arrested outside the springbok pub ,got home Monday with some of the old nuneaton lad's!!!

Still got my ticket a bit ripped and wet in my back pocket in that crowd, great day out for a 12 year old ....

My ticket along with 100’s of others went over the back wall behind the goal.
For those that don’t know it was a 34000 sellout. At 2.00pm there was to be an inspection of the pitch but QPR realised that not everyone would get in by the time a decision had been made. So around 1.45 they started letting us in just inspecting the ticket and telling us to keep it in case of a postponement. Around 2.15 it was announced the game was on and lo and behold 100’s of tickets were thrown over the wall to those ticketless fans below.
No bloody wonder if was such a squash that day.

I also know that nearly 100 fake tickets were printed at a Kettering print works, and some of them got in.

I went with my Dad..brought back fond memories.
Unfortunately he missed our good times by about 12 months !
