NFP Previews Saturday..

I’d forgotten how controlling he comes across. It’s interesting that at Leicester all the players loved him yet in interviews he was ‘difficult’. I just think he doesn’t like being interviewed.

Probably the most interesting comments are towards the end where he says in his last couple of seasons at Leicester he’d got the team to the point of having players he could trust to drive the culture of the club and that’s what’s being built at Bristol. I think this is why the players loved him at Leicester ... if they show that they buy in to where he wants to take the club he supports them 100% and looks to give them the scope to develop their skills and achieve their goals.

He is awkward in interviews but part of that is because he reacts badly to rubbish questions. He doesn't do soundbites and find his interviews thoughtful.

I felt sorry for the chap holding the microphone though - can they not afford a stand???

My daughter used to look after the player's kids on match days/ nights, none of the player's paid on more than one occasion, NFP got wind of it and paid her up there and then, he is a good un

The Andy King interview is very good (and takes half the time).

You can’t help but want him to do well in the remaining part of his playing career and developing as a coach.
He'll be back one day. Amongst the most likely of the Unbelievables to manage us one day IMO

Thought it was a decent interview given the questions he was asked. Give him a cheer when he appears then move on.
