Modern Football is Rubbish…

I go walking by the old Gay Meadow most mornings. The old ground, just like ours, is now a collection of apartments. With a substantial flood barrier between them and the river.
It would be a substantial ask to kick a ball into the river from the new Croud Meadow ground - it must be over a mile to The Severn. No more coracle pilots on the payroll.

Gay Meadow was always an eventful away day. Used to love our trips there in the 80s.
Not been to the new ground but it looks a bit of a corporate, flatpack, out of town sort of place.

Went to the new ground for a preseason (a shockingly bad game when we had one shot on target from Kasper!). It is quite soulless but pretty good for a club that size.
