Mentioning the 800 years of occupation didn't buckin help

Bet most of them lapped it up as usual.
But results suggest they're just a pretty shit team.
IMHO
;)

The inside story is he played video clips relating to the famine, when you tried to starve us all, and of the proclamation of independence being read in 1916.
He then made a pretty bog standard speech about the 800 years of occupation, similar to the Jocks remembering buckin Bannockburn.
One of the Anglos who didn't get picked to start the match told his agent who spilled the beans to the buckin FAI.
The FAI want rid of Kenny who was appointed by John Delaney who was the CEO that got bucked out because he was ripping them off.
They can't afford to sack him because they are broke as buck, and this is their excuse to get rid.
And yes we are a shit team right now, but we'll always have Stuttgart.

So the Ireland team were all played a motivational video before the game to get them all pumped up to face us, and they get dicked 3-0 in a comfortable performance by England.

How shit are Ireland?

Please God they do Stokie.
It will be some form of closure for the six innocent Irish men the British state wrongfully imprisoned for years
What about 21 innocent people blown up just going for a drink on a friday night ..are they worth mentioning Gerry??

Stokie I know you are a ref but are you ACTUALLY blind?
I just said I hope they prosecute the scumbag who did it
And as a matter of interest, without googling, name the two pubs?

Isn't it time for the North and South to unite to provide an Irish team just like the Rugby team do?
Long gone time for that.
Players, well most of them would want it, fans want it but the blazers, who would miss out on international trips don't want it to happen

The tavern, I was in it a week before and there a rumour the old bill got a warning but ignored it.
You proved my point Harwich.
The name of the two pubs, The Tavern In The Town and the Mulberry Bush are engraved in the mind of Irish people of my era because of what we learned about the awfulness of what happened then and in the aftermath.
You could just come up with one name which illustrates the difference in the history we were taught relating to the same event.

Sorry but 'history you were taught'.

Harwich wasn't taught history about the Birmingham pub bombings. He lived it. He's said above he was in one of the pubs the week before. I visited the Tavern in the weeks leading up to the bombing as used to stay over with work. Thankfully the luck of the draw means me and Harwich are still here.

I find your comment and you claiming the moral high ground about this a touch insensitive to say the least.

No moral high ground being claimed, I get vertigo just standing up.
My point is Harwich and I have a different understanding of the same subject and still manage to get along fine.
