Manchester derby

Both ourselves and Yanited are in an interesting spell of games before the cup game.

Like others I hope they get smashed today to knock their confidence and redress the goal difference a little.

Our win yesterday and being knocked out of Europe takes the pressure off us a little, we can sit back and enjoy the games today knowing we finally have a bit of a rest this week. We have a very winnable game next Saturday before we play the quarter final the following weekend.

Yanited play Man City today which anything other than a win will hand the league title to Man City (in everyone else’s eye the trophy is already headed for East Manchester).

They then play AC Milan in the last 16 of the Europa League over the next two midweeks, not exactly a walk in the park, and have a tricky league game v West Ham next Sunday.

This on top of being in indifferent form themselves.

In a way if they get smashed today and get knocked out of Europe the cup game for them will take on more importance with it being their last chance of silverware. But we could end their chances of lifting a trophy this season.

Exciting isn’t it. Like I said it’s not for the faint hearted.

Sheff Utd is Sunday 2pm

Even better we get an extra day off too!

I should have known that though given Yanited are in the Europa cup.

So we want them to beat Milan rather then only have FA Cup on offer

I want two hard, tight games so they don’t have a moment to relax. Whether they progress or not probably won’t make a huge amount of difference to the actual game.

I feel if the FA Cup is their last chance to win a trophy they’ll feel the pressure to deliver a result. That might be a good or a bad thing for us.

What? There's a Manchester derby today? Really? Are you sure? Don't think I heard a single thing about that during the commentary of any of yesterday's games...

My mum even mentioned it to me, asked whst result we wanted.

Told her Chelsea Everton was more important to us.
