Kasper No More

No.
But I've been to both Roma and Lazio home games over the years. And I've occasionally seen pre-match bollocks here and there despite best intentions to always avoid it. But it's all lumped together under that uber-wank phrase "matchday experience" for me, alongside other stuff that should be banned such goal music, excruciating bam clap-along PHG remixes after half-time, and a supposedly relegation-fighting team carrying their fucking children out before a crucial match. A tifo as teams walk out is the limit for me, but seriously, waxing lyrically about birds of prey and lots of flags? I suppose you thought that tosspot compressed air before Seville was really good...
Roma and Nice (the only two where I've been in the ground too early) don't compare to what happens over here. Beyond me how you can compare the experience we see in (many clubs) Europe to that over here, whole ground singing/jumping and flares/smoke all over the place vs goal music so loud that it negates the fans cheers.
Different level from my limited experience, Daggers knows a lot more an he's very positive about his experiencces in Germany.

Waxing lyrical? Where was that? I mentioned a bird of prey, that was it.

Anyway back to the topic…WTF has happened to Kasper? There was talk of Nice trying to offload him almost as soon as he went there, more recent talk about him coming back to the PL maybe with Chelsea, now it has all gone quiet over there…
And don’t let anyone tell me that he would not have done a damn sight better than Ward and would have lifted the whole team on and off the pitch. I don’t reckon we would have gone down had he stayed (or rather been shipped out by that short arsed ego merchant).

We needed to offload someone to begin to balance the books and for whatever reason, he became the one.

Knowing now what we do about TCR it wouldn’t surprise me to learn if it was all out of spite of Top & Co because Kasper was so close to them.

With the benefit of hindsight, I’m sure Kasper would have made a positive difference. But, at the time, him moving on felt like the right thing to do.

Schmeichel leaves Nice

Former Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has left Nice by mutual consent.
The 36-year-old Denmark international played 46 times for the club last season.
He can now find a new team beyond the transfer window.
