James Given

Has packed up training. Average trainer in my view and the first 2 horses that have run since leaving him have both won at very nice odds, both went to Archie Watson but they will be spread between several trainers and if they go to someone who knows what they are doing they are worth backing.

Took up a well paid post as director of equine health and welfare with the British Horseracing Authority.

On the subject of useless trainers, that David Dennis must've been bloody awful cos loads of his have had a new lease of life this season with other trainers particularly Symonds.

David Dennis is the assistant to Tom Symonds, that is why he has got a lot of his horses. Symonds was the pupil trainer with Nicky Henderson so he will have been taught well and learned a helluva lot about training racehorses

Backing ex Dennis horses on the jumps at SP is showing a level stakes profit of £33 (to a £1) this season
