I like Ralph!

He's sort of Teutonic(Austrian) but refreshingly refrains from going over the top with his teeth like some other of his ilk. He cut a very forlorn and dejectedly shocked figure in the pouring rain after the 9-0. But he's done tremendously well since and turned Southampton's and his own fortunes completely around. Very good manager who has now got his team playing very good football!

Southampton could have given him the boot after the 0-9 but since then he’s done brilliantly with them.

They finished a very creditable 6th in 15-16 however another team stole the limelight that season. I can’t remember who.

I really like him. He’s got them so well organised and if he had a half decent squad in back up terms I feel they could easily get top 6. I’d be surprised if they hang on to him in the long term. I hope they do. Southampton are a very decent club

I am impressed, like others. At present, they don't have the depth of squad of other top third teams, but they are a very well coached team, with plenty of youth in the squad.

Yesterday they were missing 4 first choice players - Westergaard, Romeu, Ings and whoever they start left side (Redmond or Djanepo) - so just like us in one of those games early this season when we had 4 or 5 first teamers out. That made a difference. Ralph didn't moan about this, and acknowledged that our man for man edge in quality was the difference. You can well imagine that he has the respect of his players, and they listen to what he says.

Well, that's BFR's replacement sorted then! ;)
we were all waiting for the messiah that is Sean Dyche to come and manager Leicester, after the insipid frenchman, Claude Puel.

Maybe Dyche's stock has slipped a little since then?
