A decent journey home to be fair.
We started far too slow, Leeds came out of the blocks at pace but we contained them well early doors. When we got into our stride I thought the last half an hour of the first half was decent enough. We had them on the ropes but didn’t really lay a glove on them.
We had to score when we were on top. That we didn’t have a shot on target was a huge failure But I hoped we would kick on and win the game.
We didn’t. Leeds started strongly again, not unexpected but we never got a grip on the game. Once they scored our quality dropped and we started looking desperate. The wingers that had been so effective first half did very little and there was little in midfield. Maybe NdidI was the missing piece of the puzzle.
Casadei was crap and should have been hauled off earlier. We know Vardy is on his last legs and that Nacho isn’t that great either. I’d start with Nacho and use Vardy later on in games. Last night I might have swapped Casadei for Nacho and gone two up top.
I thought our defence was decent enough last night but they breached it once and once was enough.
Boro will be super tricky. They lost last weekend but had won the 6 before then. We need to return to winning ways asap.
