The other is that there was no significant winter flu/virus in the calendar year 2019 but there was two 'seasons' in 2020, a big difference right there.

The fact that both seasons were made much worse than they needed to be by appalling (deliberate?) government policies is the final straw for me.

I've researched it and the results are- its not real and its all a scam.

l don't know why l have to repeat everything over and over, but its a flu virus, it isn't Covid19, Covid19 doesn't exist. The vaccine is NOT vaccine , it is worse than dangerous. I don't care if you believe me or not, its your life. Just stop asking the same questions.

For one reason or another the total deaths in the UK was higher. I'll let you have the flu. On a bad year it claims about 20k lives.

So what's caused the higher death rate?

50,100 people died of 'flu in the Winter of 2017/18 (source BMJ)

The peak was higher than the Winter just passed (see attached from the Gov 'flu surveillance report).

Bed occupancy was higher at peak in 19/20 at 94% than it was 20/21 at 89% although it's not really a proper comparison for obvious reasons.

Efficacy of the vaccine completely ignores the normal erosion of 'flu season between New Year and now, the trajectory of which has not been uncommon from start to finish despite significant non medical interventions.

I don't doubt the flu is still around and has caused deaths like it does every year. That's why there's a vaccine. 1000s have been hospitalised with Covid and would likely have died without the treatment. Many are still suffering with what's being called long-Covid. I don't think there's a long-flu.

Thanks for the info and the graphs, my computer/research skills are not that great.

A few thoughts.

The falling death rates shown in the first graphic are not adjusted for population or age demographics. When they are it shows 2019 to be the lowest deaths in 30+ years and, despite the excess, 2020 is about 12th on the list of highest death rates over the the last 30 years.

The second graphic shows the effect of government policy, sending back the sick to care homes in March/April causes the first peak and degrading peoples health and immune system through the summer months left them wide open to infection in November/December.

The final graphic shows the cyclical nature of the winter flu/virus, covid-19 is really not that special.
 
It's really hard to make comparisons because of the lockdowns (which are overwhelmingly more damaging than helpful according to dozens of peer reviewed articles in the Lancet, BMJ, GBD, etc.) but also the mass testing which we have never seen before.

We're testing around one million people per day so the 2500 odd "cases" per day (not a case unless someone is sick - ask your GP) could easily be covered by false positives.

My worry is that they're simply dragging this out until October when seasonal 'flu returns with Covid-19 still likely to be the dominant virus and the cycle will begin again.

There is no treatment for covid offered by the NHS. If your illness is severe enough to require hospitalisation you are given oxygen and a steroid, dexamethasone, to help your breathing.

There is a 'long-flu', usually referred to as post viral syndrome. Back in the '90s it was referred to as ME, CFS or yuppie flu.

That is exactly what they are doing, in the meantime, run down peoples health by lockdowns and, for many, constant worry.

It is also part of the natural cycle where people are out and about in the summer months when any virus is muted and infections are easily dealt with by the immune system. This builds immunity for the next 'season' something that did not happen for a lot of people last summer, resulting in the 'second' peak in November/December.

Many die at home untested. Apparently the 28 day rule is not totally reliable - agreed but the variable is reported to be 0.4% either way so was used as the most reliable method .

No proof vaccine was the cause. None at all . It may have caused 7 -39 deaths in roughly 40 million doses worldwide . Hence the investigations. Keep up .
