Nine past Haffey (1961)
Last v Scotland 1-1 (1984) Mark McGhee scored for Scotland,Tony Woodcock for England at Hampden Park.

Saw Best play at Filbo only once, that was for Hibernian in the snow ‘I think’
I saw him quite a few times at Filbert Street, last time was a 2-2 draw in 1972. I saw him 'guest' for Nuneaton Boro' when he'd read the plight of The Boro and a money raising game v Coventry, George had actually contacted Noel Kelly and said he's love to help. Kelly, in his memoirs, said that although excited at the prospect of one of the greatest players on the planet playing at Manor Park he obviously knew of Best's demons, but true to his word he turned up, was fantastic and scored the winner!
