This is where you're wrong. It's no coincidence that so much of the right-wing rhetoric & approach of 2016 to 2020 made its way over to the UK.
Whereas the US saw sense in turfing out their idiot, we're left with ours for at least a few more years, or until he decides he's better off earning more spouting racist, sexist & homophobic bile as a newspaper columnist.

I feel that you are letting your political beliefs skew your view of reality. I genuinely can not decide whether it is worth the argument to dispute your claims.
Your views are yours, I am not responsible for them however ridiculous I think they are. The racists are now in control in much of the USA, well the cities anyway, if that makes it over to the UK it will get very ugly indeed.

Totally wrong.
Unlike those that are entrenched in their political beliefs, I really want the UK to do well regardless of who's in charge. That we have someone like Johnson who quite obviously adapted pages from the Trump playbook, just leaves me in despair.
That you don't see it, is even more worrying.
