I'd regard WP as a better player to Maddison, and one you can trust with a pen. Surprised it's only £30m for him too seemingly – must also have just one year left, I guess.
 
So there’s no way WH are paying him more than £100k/week so assume Man U paid off the rest of his contract
 
Amazing how much money you can spend on players when you don't have to pay for a stadium ...

the stadium cost 760 million quid to build and then convert to a football stadium (they paid almost nothing towards it).
They sold upton park for 38 million.
as of 2022 they pay 3.6 million a year in rent.
that rent also covers policing costs for the most part.
and yet they can trouser 100 million for selling a player?

Say what you want but those robber barons got away with fleecing the taxpayers.
