Guess you have to weigh up your risk

If you are under 65, in reasonably good health and not actually caring for some one ill with covid, there is no medical reason to take the vaccine.

You are being 'tagged', nothing to do with your wellbeing.

As I said the other day I have not made my mind up yet, I am under 65 fortunately never had any heath problems and never even had the flu I cant remember the last time I had a bad cold.

What realy worries me not just for myself but the younger generations and those yet to come is that the government and by that I mean of all political colours not just the current incumbents seem to be hell bent on this passport/certificate whatever you want to call it and leading the country to the edge of a cliff. They seem like they want to create a divide where some people are for it and others are not and get them arguing about it, this is not an argument over how the police or NHS should be run but whether to supress a section of the populations freedom and free will its very very dangerous.

On a totally personal basis, unless you are in close proximity to someone seriously ill with covid you are hugely unlikely to catch it at the present time. Even then a robust immune system will see off most infections.

On a socio/political level it is rather different, are you comfortable with the restrictions being imposed on you as one of the great un-vaxed? It is a personal choice as to whether the benefits of being vaxed offset the possibility of long term health issues, right now we only know what these issues might be.

Then of course there is the issue of compliance, you will need a digital passbook that you will need to keep up todate (more jabs), your behaviour will be monitored and your place in society determined by it. You will be a vessel of the state.

Some silly cunts on here keep screaming to get the vaccine and saying it’s completely safe need to put their brain in gear. I know of one person who had a pretty big stroke two days after having the vaccine. Probably won’t talk or walk again unaided.

30 cases of how many people being vaccinated? You can get a blood clot from the flu jab. Its the risk you take when you take any kind of vaccination.

So what you are saying Dorset is that there is a plan to bring in this sort of thing? Do you think people will stand for it if thats the case?

Think back just one year.

Of course people will stand for it. Give them a few bob, tell them they do not have to go to work and 'Strictly' starts on Saturday.

I must be naive. I run my own small business and just carried on and never took money off the state to pay my employees and they never wanted to sit on there backside doing nothing. I can see that there is now a culture of want it now which follows whatever is fasionable but surley even they must see that if that is taken away we are all buggered

Morning String, credit to you and your employees, a good number of decent folks have done just that... (y)

But sadly, far greater numbers have taken the money and stayed at home. Perhaps their 'work' is in places a lot more visible so they might be willing but unable to do anything or maybe they just enjoy being paid to do nothing.

The destruction of small private business is a big part of the plan, make everyone dependent on the state and big corporate entities and, by controlling their jobs, their income, you have them by the balls. Digital passbooks are the endgame, they/you will be monitored and controlled, step out of line and your 'privileges' will be curtailed.

Do you understand probability?

Yes.

In the short term, the risks from the vaccine is present, but quite small. If you are genuinely at risk from contracting covid and being seriously affected by it, you might well be better off getting the jab.

However, if you are under 65 and in reasonably good health, covid is unlikely to trouble you, so the probability of a nasty reaction from the vaccine, though quite small, may become the dominant risk.

That of course is the short term risk. Some experts believe that there might be a longer term issue when those vaccinated come into contact with a 'wild' virus, perhaps a new and different corona virus. They believe that the now modified immune system may react adversely in these circumstances, making the effects of the virus much more severe.

That will not be proven until we have the next winter flu/virus season, it going to be interesting!

Hi Dorset,

Maybe I need to start looking into this, why would the any government want to smash small business? none of the parties that offer themselves up for election say this. Should I write to my MP maybe asking him to clarify his parties stance on this? If what you say is anywhere near the way these people are thinking and want to do its very concerning and who are the people in our government who want this? I have noticed some MPs kicking back against this passport business are they the ones to support and encourage.

Hi.

Are you serious? Genuine question.

I find it hard to believe that anyone living and working in the UK (I'm assuming that is the case) is not aware of the arguments raging about what is really going on, and the changes to our way of life being forced on us in the present time.

I, and many others have written extensively about this in this very forum, you can review my contributions by clicking on my name and then 'Postings'.

Yes I am Dorset I can see that things have massively changed over the last 20 odd years I am not stupid all this whats going on has just got me thinking more about what is the situation. When you are wrapped up in your own stuff and getting on with life sometimes you dont see the bigger picture. Look my sister has been saying this to me for a couple of years now and although I have not dismissed what she has said I did think it seemed a bit of a overreaction. I am now starting to think that is not the case and just want to get other peoples opions on it.

Who are these people that have “taken the money & stayed at home”?

Everyone I know is slugging their guts out working the same roles at home.

If you can't see that this whole shit show is a farce, you're a moron.

If you can't work out that taking a jab, that IS NOT a vaccine is good for you, you deserve it.

If you carry defending the evil bastards who are pushing this, you are a colaberater.

If you are a nurse, doctor, political, policeman who help with this genocide, you're complicit, and Nurenburg trial should await you.

What’s an “interested loan”, & how does it differ from an uninterested loan?
