I went to 2 schools with portacabins for classrooms and that was 50 years ago.

I suppose she has a point. The choice of a portakabin that isn't going to fall on your head vs the RAAC is probably preferable.

The portakabins at my school in the 70's were 2 classrooms seperated by a store cupboard.

If you were a bit naughty you would be locked in the store for the rest of the lesson.

I wonder if they do that these days!

Locked in the store? My mate farted during History and had to carry his desk and chair out to the middle of the playing field and sit there for the rest of the lesson. TBF nowt wrong with mobiles.

i had 2 years in a portacabin classroom in the 70s, used to have to wear my parka to keep warm in the winter months during class.
