It's not a bad system it never is/was, you see it is just another plan to beat the opposition.
But and this is the crux it requires intelligence fitness and skill to my mind it is
UPGRADE on the Magyars Pass and run style that created havoc here in the 50's.
You need the football eye to see your next move and position yourself to receive its simple stuff but if you haven't the skill it's easy to nullify which is where we are at KDH is our only reasonable skilful player and he runs too many blind alleys, we do not move into open spaces to receive nor do we the ball control to make this plan effective it was easy early when we dumbfounded teams with it, now stronger teams have cottoned on the skill that's needed is highlighted by our lack the said.
But it's still not a bad plan just need the personnel to make it effective against strong opposition.

Thanks for bearing withme

I once saw the Spanish team pass a ball from back to front with PACE and score ,that's how you do tippy tappy football.

Interesting, but I would quibble about KDH being our most reasonably skilfull player.
All our forward players have sufficient skill to progress uising the triangle system. .
The original idea of the system which was explained to us was that it made the ball work and so
conserve energy which would then be used to wear down the oppsition in the later stages of a game.
This obviously no longer is the case as most teams seem fitter than us late on.(Cov and Leeds).
And energetic pressing often disrupts our possession, leaving us vulnerable to counters.
And both first choice wingers, crucial to the system, are looking threadbare in a long (for them) season.
Apart from that all is well.

Since his little video of how we play and why, opposition teams seem to do better against us, be a little better prepared.

Funny that.

Maybe he should have kept his comments and diagrams within Seagrave.

Never thought about that, when exactly was it? Although all teams have scouts who analyse the opposition laying out the much vaunted "idea" in fine detail seems a bit daft.

I don’t know for sure. Tail end of last year maybe? I said the same at the time and he response was similar to yours however why make it public and out in the open?
