Enzo says the team were tired

Same number of games for every club last time I looked.
Apparently Leeds looked completely shattered and really struggled last night. Their fans are dreading their game at Sheffield Wednesday on Friday (who have won four on the bounce). It's not just us.

After Saturday we have a three-week gap before the next league game. I suspect we'll treat this period as an opportunity to recharge the batteries and we'll rest a lot of players for the FA Cup game. It will be a shame, but the league is the priority.

I thought the idea of a possession based game was to inflict tiredness on the opposition.🤔
It is, but I don't think it offers magical way of avoiding fatigue over a long season. We've already played almost a full PL season in addition to the cups. That's a lot more games than we played last year.

It's a shame Maresca only trusts around 15 players in his squad. If he had more faith in the rest of them, we'd be able to rotate a bit more.

Given that Southampton and Leeds both had cup runs I can't see why we should be any more tired than any of them.
We have all played appropriately 40 games this season and even if it's 38, 40 or 42 there surely that shouldn't be a significant difference?
I think we are suffering mental fatigue more than physical.

They want to look after a disabled wife for 30 years.
They might know what tiredness is then without the kind of money they are on.
Load of bollocks,, pampered beyond belief

Nobody is suggesting that we're more tired than anybody else. As I wrote above, apparently Leeds looked just as exhausted as us last night. Southampton recently had a bad run and have fallen behind the pack. Yes, Ipswich came from behind to win yet again last night, but they've also recently had a poor run.

The Championship is a more grueling slog than the PL. Fatigue is going to affect everybody at this stage of the season.

The poor loves, they're so tired they need a chauffeur driven Bentley to take them their really expensive restaurants.

Tiredness FFS !!!!

Straight from the ' don't blame me ' book of TCR.

Excuses of a manager that struggles to be reactive let alone proactive.

It took him until the 71st minute to make a change that should have been done a good 15 minutes earlier imo.

I cannot believe it, l used to run around for 90 mins on surfaces akin to a firkin farm yard but never tired and l didn't train for a match
Turn up half an hour beforehand change then on to the pitch after working on a Saturday morning from 6-12
FFS

I must admit I felt slightly weary at work today after watching the game last night , it must’ve been all the energy I spent screaming, shouting and jumping up and down in frustration, the 6 Tyskies probably didn’t help much either.

……then after the game run 10 miles home for some bread and dripping before heading back work for the night shift 🤨

Bring back Jock's sand heaps

I don't think he needed the sand heaps.
He had that same fearsome scowl that Fergie had. It would have took a brave man to have challenged him.
Whenever City had a poor first half, you could always tell Jock had given them the hairdryer and roasted their arses .

Fitter in the engineering trade.
So I’d guess you’re precise in all tasks that you do and have an eye for detail in general which would explain your critical but skilled observations about our beloved team, I thought there was more to you than just the portrayal of a grumpy old cunt and so it seems 😂
How’s the wife by the way if I’m not being too familiar.
