Emma Racoocu

Too much too soon.
And too much off-court diversions like fashion shoots and film premieres.
And I 'm not sure sacking her coach who got her to to both finals last year was a good idea.

Head turned, too much adoration,
If she is to progress she needs to work and work hard and give the adoration the heave ho

Very brave performance. Had to have her hand bound up because of painful blisters. You could see the pain on her face with most of her shots. Only looked more comfortable on her backhand. Taking it to a 3rd set was nothing short of miraculous. Bad luck, girl!

Suffering for 5 days prior.Medical treatments weren’t working. Her ‘team’ wanted to pull her out of the tournament. She insisted herself on playing!

As a person of limited hand dexterity who can barely hold on to a knife and fork myself I am full full of admiration for her bravery and pluck. The poor girl did her best in difficult circumstances. What more could you ask!

I think her head's been turned by all the trappings of stardom.
She's being poorly advised.
Too many fashion shoots and social engagements.
Too much, too soon.

Wimbledon final she retired due to nervous breathlessness didn't she?
Not the Final it was a 4th Rd (last 16) match.
She followed that amazing first Grand Slam attempt by going on to win the 2021 US Open title without losing a set!

I watched that US triumph in the Kings in Leicester with the guvnor and his family.
I was chuffed for her - pleased as punch.
But you can see she's not being well advised. I think she's changed coaches more than once.
Then there's all this modelling and whatever - looks like her family are concentrating too much on all the commercial endorsements etc and screwing it up on improving her as a player.
And if you are looking for an excuse to lose a tennis match you'll soon find dozens of them.
She will have jacked it all in within a couple of years.

The world is changing George. Zara Rutherford, only 19,has just become the first woman to Fly Solo Around The World. Apart from 2 blisters on her backside and not being able to find a Wetherspoons while flying for hours on end over Siberia she absolutely pissed it!

Typically the Chinese tried to “quarantine” her at one stage but she “wasn’t having any of that”!

She had blisters and was determined to play on. That shows courage. The same as cricket spin bowlers like Fred Titmus,Pat Pocock,Ashley Mallett
,etc,et al,to name but a few over the years, who would routinely play on with dried and painfully cracked spinning fingers.
Raducanu didn’t give up,she bravely played on until defeated. But heyho she is allegedly doing too many “photoshoots and social engagements” and is a fool for not appointing that miracle worker David Rennie to take care of her hands!

If she had spent more hours with a raquet in her hand bashing tennis balls against the wall for hours on end instead of posing for Vogue magazine photo shoots - she wouldn't have got the blisters in the first place.

How do you know that she doesn’t spend more time with racquet in hand bashing tennis balls. Please enlighten me with your superior knowledge of tennis training. She has managed to already enthrall Wimbledon on her debut stage and win a Grand Slam tournament without much advice from an old boy on a football message board!

Well if she she had spent hours and hours practising with a raquet in her hand she wouldn't have got blisters.

Basically she has piss-balled about soaking up the media adoration instead of putting in the hard yards - which if she had done those hard yards she would have toughened up her hands and would not have got the blisters.

So in the mere 5 months since she won the US Open you have proof that she has “piss-balled about” ever since?

The proof is there in the media.
Attending all sorts of media and fashion dos instead of getting her head down and putting the training hard yards in.
She has been led astray and mis-advised.
A career ruined before it got really started.
You won't hear from her in 2 years time.
Toast.

Well given your intimate knowledge regarding the life and social calendar of Britain’s youngest and currently most successful tennis player then it must all be true and not just idle conjecture.
I shall leave the ball in your court for now but please don’t bash the ball back too hard please as it’s starting to give me blisters!
