Elon

Whether he's serious or not, the responses are. It's childish to express an honest opinion. Subheading on BBC is he's spreading disinformation and conspiracy theories.
If i said 2+2=5 and i was censured, is that me spreading disinformation and being punished, or has my right to free speech been infringed??

Are you crackers?

Do you believe disinformation should be allowed free speech or not??? It's a pretty straightforward question.

Even in the USA the 1st amendment has limits if it endangers others as in the classic "you can't shout 'FIRE' in a crowded theater" example.

Who decides what is disinformation? Unfortunately, the record of officially sanctioned bullshit and the suppression of an alternative voice, which included large portions of the truth, has a long history.

I'm glad that you believe you'll be getting no disinformation from your trusted sources. I dont.

So yes, I want it all out there. I'll make my own mind up thank you.

Who decides what disinformation is, is an entirely different question that can be discussed separately.
You guys don't even have the small amount of courage it takes to make a statement on a very simple thought experiment.

So determined to live in a narrow way and have someone else fence you in.
Yes, because answering a question about 2+2=5 really fences you in doesn't it?
The classic conspiracy theorist behaviour, to never give a definitive answer about anything so you can continue to jerk each other off.

Oh dear. As has been pointed out recently, all of this rambling about jerking off is in your head. It's got nothing to do with me.

Definitively, I couldn't care less if someone says 2 + 2 = 5. There's nothing wrong about being wrong, nothing wrong about thinking creatively. Nothing wrong with having an idea.

I mean there you are saying I'm liberal and freedom loving (2+2) and this means that I want censorship. (That's a 2+2 equals 5 statement) But who cares? 😃😃

“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if someone says 2+2=5, the correct response is, ‘What are your definitions and axioms?’ not a rant about the decline of Western civilization.”

I can only say a couple of things.
I'm sorry if this has got someone riled up. I never expected this response.
Second. Like I said when you started getting mathematical, why not skip the questions and just say what you think?

the same old non-response.
why are you folks so afraid of making a definitive statement about anything, even trivial thought experiments?
if there's nothing wrong with being wrong what have you got to lose?
there's a reason the ramblings of your special club aren't taken seriously by 'mainstream' thinkers, and, clue, it isn't censorship, restrictions or fences.

You're getting responses. You're just not taking them in.

Is it a waste of time replying to you?

Guy asking what users of this forum think about freedom of speech.
On this forum where they get dished up so much of it, an individual gets reported as potential terrorist for what he writes on here.

I might be casting in shitty waters, but
I'm guessing they want more that Twitter style FBI 'moderatin'. 🤪

What would you call this Tuz? Freedom of speech or mis information?
Then we can go into the part as to why he wasn’t he limited on social media etc.

I think the problem ain't Biden having no clue what he was talking about.
Nor is it a problem that he was allowed to say it. The man spews cowhsit daily.
But I guess this video is your disinformation TuzNot.

What was the censorship? People challenging 'the narrative' were blocked. Deplatformed, shouted down. People who called out Biden's complete lie were censored.
That's your censorship TuzNot,

If the there had been MORE freedom of speech, not less, the other ideas would have added balance to the debate. Might even have added some wisdom.

You don't seem to be listening.
I don't think that you or me are the best arbiters of what disinformation is.

But to keep you happy...
If, by your definition, you spread it.
I don't care.

Do I think you should be censored? No.

If you are censored would that be infringing your free speech? Of course it would.
