Edouard.

It's all over various media now. There was a time when the very mention of interest from Arsenal meant the end for us but nowadays with his work with BR who knows? He's a one in two striker and at 22 the right age to present BR with the sort of challenge he likes.
And at £22-26m affordable. Could spell the end of the road here for Ian...
What a one in two striker?

Didn't you claim that he couldn't be, rather than he wouldn't be? ;)
I think brenda wanted to recall him but missed the cutoff point, isn't guy Branston our loans manager? I claim that he wouldn't be recalled better off spending season wiv Luton but he needs to get in first team next season.

Celtic fan on FT, reckons he's off at the end of the season, out of contract in 2022 and they won't want him running his contract down, and they'd be happy to get the money now. Reckons any paper printing £30m is talking bollocks. Think he reckons they'd snap our hands off for £20m and would probaly go down to £15m.
We haven't got a great record with signing strikers since Vardy. We can't and won't attract the £60m type we need. Manager knows him and he won't be wanting a stupid wage either.

A Celtic fan mate of mine said when we went in for Rodgers that the Celtic board would take the money we offered all day long. The same must go for a player who’s out of contract in a year or a year and a half.

Assuming the story is true and we are looking at him, I’d suggest we pay a bit more and get him integrated this season than wait until the summer.

Given their chances of winning the league are slim they may be tempted to cash in now, especially if they drop points to Livingston over the next two games.

I would go for Ivan Toney first.
This is a strange thread. It has wandered all over the place, even Andy King is in there, but what I want to know is whether he is any good or not. If he looks as if he couldn't be arsed, we should stick with Nacho who is good at it. I remember the Barcodes fans who said Perez - who I like - was hot and cold. They were right. If this bloke is half as good as Thierry Henry it would be great, but why is no one else imterested. On the basis that he plays in a crap league but has potential we could treat him as another Vardy, and not throw him in immediately. I do not buy this lone striker stuff -Nugent anybody- and we let Kramaric slip through our fingers.

Trouble is Vardy has set the bar too bloody high, we will never in a million years get the likes of him again. Worker
Goalscorer, class act

We have been spoilt
That's the major problem we have had for a few seasons now. Any striker that comes in we are going to judge them by Vardys standards which we can't because he is a one off.
& I’ll ask you, you clearly are saying a player who can’t even score against half the shit up there is the best we can hope for?
Might be the best we can afford.

Perhaps we're chucking money away by paying him £2m a year.
Always thought he had something and eventually it would show. Run out of patience, he stumbles over the ball more times than he controls it.
He can't replace Vardy because that isn't his role and we don't play with two up front.
He'd be better off somewhere that will play to his strengths.
When Vardy goes we'll change the way we play simples.
