Edouard.

It's all over various media now. There was a time when the very mention of interest from Arsenal meant the end for us but nowadays with his work with BR who knows? He's a one in two striker and at 22 the right age to present BR with the sort of challenge he likes.
And at £22-26m affordable. Could spell the end of the road here for Ian...

The thing is a 22yr old, if worked on, will hopefully become a first team player at the right time....

Brenda knows how to get the best out of him, not normally a fan of buying strikers from Scottish Premier but this one feels right.

7 goals and 5 assists in 15 games and apparent;y he's having a poor season. Just a shame that Celtic won't take Iheanacho in exchange.

Players never step up when they move up a level?
Vardy, Mahrez ......
Yes of course they can, but my argument against the 2 examples you have given are..... was vardy struggling to score for Fleetwood? I don’t think he was.
As for mahrez, I can’t say I have any idea of his form for Le havre.

Involved in 12 goals in 15 games and that’s him having a poor season. He’s younger and taller than Ollie Watkins and probably available for less than half the price.
Scores for fun in the French u23s.
If we can get him for £15m then IMO it’s a risk well worth taking. We can still get a few million back offloading Iheanacho.

I’ll give Edouard the benefit of any doubt. I’d hope he’d take less time to settle in too than someone from the continent.

Nachos part of our squad won't be going anywhere, highly rated player by our coaching staff.
Some people need to understand that managers etc rarely tell the truth and just say "so-and-so is shit". It's because it would destroy any residual value that the hapless case might have. But that doesn't mean that they rate people like Nacho "very highly" as you seem to assume they do.

Well he isn't destined for a transfer to another club anytime soon or even a loan, what does that tell you?
