Covid death rates

“Morbidity rate for untreated Covid is 10%”

what does that mean?

if you get it, you’re told to stay at home and isolate, what treatment do you mean?

No idea what you're on about. I see none of you have addressed his point. He's saying if no-one was treated, the death rate would be 10% of those who get Covid. Fortunately we have largely effective treatments for it, but if the hospitals are overwhelmed more people will die. hence the need for lockdowns, masks, social distancing etc. Not that hard really is it? You're just being silly Billies.

Thanks for your patience. i thought you were a bit of a condescending twat at first but you seem OK really.

Can't see where I said i was joking, just joining in the fun with the discussions around some outlandish claims. Try to keep up.

Barry seems to be. I don't know what they treat them with. maybe you might know, what with your Mrs being a nurse.
 
My Mrs is a nurse? News to me.

she has got COVID though. That’s why I’m intrigued she only has a 10% chance of pulling through without treatment.
 
I still think Barry is wrong, but the suggestion seems to be that if you weren't treated in hospital (untreated) - then you have a 10% chance of dying if infected. I don't believe that; but I'm assuming that is the claim? So 90% will be OK, even if they didn't get any hospital treatment (oxygen, medication etc.)

It clearly can't be true, because millions of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Barry might need to rethink.

We should all defend your right to put the claim out there.

The claim might even be correct.

Nobody here can disprove it...
