Considered buckin opinion

They done a Leicester on us, defended deep broke well and finished well.
That said we never seemed to be able to think our way through their claret and buckin blue wall.
The fact that Vardy touched the ball less than both goalkeepers says it all.
Write it down and move on,They are a jinx side anyway.
But fair bucks they had a plan stuck to it and executed it well.

We just not been consistent from last season. Some of the passing and controlling of ball was awful.

They defended deep once they had the lead. Before then were open as f*** but the passing was awful beyond belief so we never exploited it.

Anyone who was at the Q&A with Rogers when he first came here will have heard him say ,we wont be playing with a big man as a plan B.

West Ham have just shown others that if you get your tactics right against us we dont have an answer or a plan B, our plan B is the same as plan A with different players.
Just have to accept they done us today and move on.
Very Frustrating!!

Can somebody at the Training Ground buy a barn door for Barnes to aim at. We could have been right back in the game in the 46th minute if he had some basic composure.

I sit in C1 level with the goal line. In recent years I have lost track of the number of times they have failed to defend a cross from the other side to the far post i.e. the one nearest me. Chilwell was the worst culprit, today it was Soyuncu. It is like a Bermuda triangle for our defenders. And Under can cut out diving straight away.

Antonio is 180 cm tall. Soyuncu is 185 cm tall. No use if you are standing in the wrong position.

Another moan; it says a lot about Rodgers that his last words to Chilwell were about it being a good move as it would move him to another level. This is to an established international. What does that say about our Managers ambition for the club ? I appreciate we are supposed to be delusional as fans, but wtf ? We won the Premier League 4 years ago. When did Arsenal last win it ? Or Spurs ? Or Wolves ? I do despair sometimes.

Spot on elmet. A manager should never once talk his own side down, Rodgers does it on a regular basis.
Likes to get his excuses in for his future failings.

Fans are allowed to be overly positive/deluded about how high there club can punch, managers need to be realistic.
Plenty of managers moan about a lack of finances and quality of their squads.
We've won the league, had a good CL run and qualified for the EL recently, players know they can further their careers with us and that as a club we're doing well. Never good to lie to an employee, they'll see through it and lose respect for you. You get more out of a team if everyone is honest and up front with each other.
In this particular case Rodgers is getting grief for something that Chilwell 'grudgingly admitted' so it's not as if he went public with it.

Maybe he was making sure he didn’t change his mind
I'm glad someone said that. A lot of people say a lot of stuff they don't mean as someone is walking out the door.
As for being realistic... This is the Bill Anderson advice that the supporters refused to accept. Personally, I think the unrealistic demands by many supporters has been one of the driving forces behind the club.

Hackney, being realistic we should have been relegated in 2015. Being realistic, we never would have won the league in 2016. When we played the home game v Liverpool last season we should have been fired up because we were robbed in the reverse fixture. They went out like rabbits in the headlights. I don't care how the information came out, it simply reinforces Rodgers world view. One of my best memories was the period when MON was manager. Going to all those grounds where the fans were afraid of us and anticipated that we might win; and did - Anfield especially, but also Old Trafford, games the team played without fear. I bet Dean Smith did not send out his side on Sunday telling them about how great the opposition was. He will have told them the Scouse were lucky to get a point v Leeds.

I accept performances like Sundays because we are missing key players, but I do not accept a lack of ambition on the part of the manager.

What did Ranieri do when teams came and put in a block, perhaps Brendan should ring him like it appears he did before the Man City game. :)

What would Ranieri have done with West Hams tactics? Do you think Brendan rang him before the Man City game?

ranieri showed in season #2 what he would have done. which is struggle. teams lined up against us differently after season #1.
which is why man city was such a different result to west ham. one allowed us to play our game and one didn't.

And yet he's still here if that's not welching on a bet I don't know
