They were playing the "Enzo Way" and it showed that they wre unused to it, First team still havnt quite got it right bu playing this way in cup games will help any player that needs to step up and join the 1st team. 9 changes and only Denis and Hamza from Friday (not really 1st choice in a fully fit squad) so our backup players looked ok against half a prem team (6 changes) and deserved the win for their tenacity and Abduls touch of class
 
The added benefits from last night were that it showed

1). If played correctly the reserves aren’t too bad. So much better than that first half vs Birmingham
2). We kept a clean sheet for 120+ mins
3) The Southampton game will now be put back a few weeks. Hopefully Wilf will be available.
4). They used the anger and disappointment from Friday in a positive way.

All in all a wonderful response and a lovely surprise

Let's hope they have saved some of that anger for QPR !!!
I didn't have the benefit of seeing all of the game, but from what I did see there wasn't the usual walking around with the ball and we looked so much better for trying to drive forwards.
We did it very well against Leeds for 75 minutes and it proves to me we don't need to slow the game down. If we didn't go into our shell against Leeds I am convinced we would have got a good result.
 
We contributed to a well fought match but Bournemouth for me should have won comfortably in normal time. However as evidenced by our last two league games you don't always get what you deserve in football
 
Hand up .. I said Enzo was wrong to pick the team he did. But that result gives us momentum for the next few games and a big quarter final game to enjoy. We were maybe a bit lucky at times but it was a great goal and there were several good performances from players we often doubt Choudhury Vestergaard etc. Overall way above what I expected at kick off.
 
Seemed a top display of character and fight.Vesta was MotM by Matty Fryatt, a former striker.
Half those playing will be gone in the summer anyway. A brave move to give several a rest which paid off.
 
TBH, their number 29, (Phillips? ) could/should have scored a hat trick but he was worse than Daka on a bad day.
 
you've got to love this board, we've just played away to a premier league side made 9 changes, played well,kept a clean sheet,and won but there's always someone who will find the negatives and bring us all down to earth never mind enjoying it for what is was
