Great find.
I can see 4 although there’s a family link to a 5th. Les Allen’s ( QPR) mad nephew

Some led to some wonderful 70’s terraces songs

Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly, have you heard of the North Bank Highbury. No said Bill I don’t think so but I’ve heard of the Leicester boot boys!

I can see 5 plus the obvious FO'F. Gerry Summers probably the least obvious of the ones I am aware of. If someone had the time or inclination (I have neither) I would guess that the difference in average years in post between those on that list and any comparable list today would be significant.

Bristol R v Fulham in Div 3 would have been interesting. I wonder if anything like that has happened since?

Gerry Summers was Gordon Milne's asst mngr. The bloke with the ridiculous, large lobe-ring who ran The Pub on New Walk, and was instrumental in setting up The Blue Boar is his son. Always wears his Tigers shirt on purpose when LCFC play at home, saying he hates Leicester City because they sacked his dad and promoted GM.

Wanker!!!

BLUE ARMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He forgave us when we got relegated to the3rd tier! Lives in Worksop now, comes back on Saturdays to work in the Boar

It isn't within his gift to forgive LCFC for anything. Usually when a manager is replaced, he is fired out along with the rest of the management team. In this case the Club demonstrated a moral conscience by finding a role for Milne, but clearly not everyone could be habilitated. Tough luck, but if they had all been any good they wouldn't have been fired.

Anyway to complain about LCFC's treatment of his father is staggeringly hypocritical, when his own behaviour upon moving from Out Of The Vaults to The Pub was foul beyond belief.

I used to like Alec Stock thought he was too nice to be a manager.

A lot of the guys in just in that 1st division group were real gentleman. Mee Nicholson Robson Gillies Mercer Bates Catterick Greenwood etc. The only dick IMO was Revie who as Cloughie said was a cheat, win at any cost manager
